Since you did not hate blooded, bloodshed will pursue you.

Ezekiel 35:1-15
A prophecy against Edom.
Because you harbored an ancient hostility(敵意)and delivered the Israelites over to the sword at the time of their calamity, the time their punishment reached its climax.
Since you did not hate blooded, bloodshed will pursue you.
You will know that I the Lord have heard all the contemptible things(可鄙的事情)you have said against the  Israel.
You will be desolate, O mount Seir, you and all of Edom. Then they will know that I am the Lord.
Edom is marked out for destruction, because of her callous reaction to Israel's downfall. She not only gloated, but planned to make capital out of it by seizing the land,
Why?
harbored an ancient hostility: Edom is ememy to Israel
Do not hate blooded, bloodshed will pursue you, Do to everyone who do not hate blooded, bloodshed will pursue him. What you did them what you received.
Do not make any contemptible things, for God knows what we have done.
How?
May my heart and my actions are same and fear the Lord. God judges us by our conducts.

You my sheep, the sheep of my pasture, are people, and I am your God

Ezekiel 34:24-31
The Lord will be their God, and my servant David will be prince among them.
I will make a covenant of peace with them and rid the land of wild beasts so that they may live in the desert and sleep in the forests in safety.
I will provide them a land renowned for its crops, and they will no longer be victims of famine in the land or bear the scorn of the nations. They the will know that the Lord their God.
You my sheep, the sheep of my pasture, are people, and I am your God, declares the Sovereign Lord.
He will appoint a good shepherd - a new David - to care for them and the flock will dwell secure.
Why?
Covenant of peace: Only God can give us the real peace. With Jesus Christ he bared our sins, and we don't afraid.
God will provide us crops and blesses us. I am God's sheep, the sheep of God's pasture.
God build a personal relationship with us, God knows each one of us.
How?
Rejoice and be happy, don't worry that God is my Lord, my Shepherd and my savior.

I myself will search for my sheep and look after them

Ezekiel 34:1-22
Woe to the shepherds of Israel who only take care of themselves! Should not shepherds take care of the flock? You eat the curds, clothe yourselves with the wool and slaughter the choice animals, but you do not take care of the flock! My sheep wandered over all the mountains and on every high hill. They were scattered over the whole earth, and no one searched or looked for them.
I am against the shepherds and will hold them accountable for my flock. I will remove them from tending the flock so that the shepherds can no longer feed themselves. I will rescue my flock from their mouths, and it will no longer be good for them. I myself will search for my sheep and look after them.
I will judge between one sheep and another, and between rams and goats. I will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep. I will place over them one shepherd, my servant David, and he will tend them; and be their shepherd.
Both 'shepherds' come in for condemnation. They have greedily, cruelly, selfish exploited those committed to their care. But God will be a true shepherd, bringing his scattered flock back to good pasture in their homeland.
Why?
Shepherd should take care the sheep and protect them and search them when they are lost. But God against them for shepherds of Israel did not take their responsibility.
God will take care his sheep by himself. God will judge between one sheep and another.
I myself will search for my sheep and look after them. God will take care us as a shepherd, we are the sheep on his pasture.
God arranged servant David, Jesus Chris as our new shepherd.
How?
Pray to the pastor and elder to be good shepherd, and I am a shepherd either, so do my responsibility to take care of the sheep that God let me take caring.

Hear God's words then put them into practice

Ezekiel 33:21-33
In the twelfth year of our exile, in the tenth month on the fifth day, a man who had escaped from Jerusalem came to me and said, “The city has fallen!” Now the evening before the man arrived, the hand of the Lord was on me, and he opened my mouth before the man came to me in the morning. So my mouth was opened and I was no longer silent.
You rely on your sword, you do detestable things, and each of you defiles his neighbor’s wife. Should you then possess the land?
My people come to you, as they usually do, and sit before you to hear your words, but they do not put them into practice. Their mouths speak of love, but their hearts are greedy for unjust gain. Indeed, to them you are nothing more than one who sings love songs with a beautiful voice and plays an instrument well, for they hear your words but do not put them into practice.
News of Jerusalem's fall
The news did not take Ezekiel by surprise. God had already given him back his speech, as promised, by the time the messenger arrived. Some texts have 'eleventh year' for 'twelfth' in verse 21, in which case the news takes the more likely time of six months to reach them. Those left behind in Judah, far from repenting, were busy annexing other people's property. And in Babylonia the exiles who seemed to lap up Ezekiel's words came simply for entertainment. They neither believed them nor acted on them: a depressing state of affairs after all that had happened!
Why?
God's word is faithful and righteousness. Ezekiel's mouth opened before the man came from the city.
Should you then possess the land even they are the children of Abraham, for they did detestable thing so God let them exile from the land they possessed.
Be careful, do not speak love but hears are greedy for unjust gain. Hear the word of the Lord in church, then put them into practice.
How?
Be aware the inspire from the Holy Spirit and follow it, for God is Holy and this word endure forever! Praise the name of the Lord!

Be a watchman of my people

Ezekiel 33;1-20
Ezekiel is a watchman and his duty have to follow.
As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! Way will you die, O House of Israel?
The righteous man, if he sins, will not be allowed to live because of his former righteousness.
If I say to the wicked man, You will surely die, but he then turns away from his sin and does what is just and right - if he give back what he took in pledge for a loan, returns what he has stolen, follows the decrees that five life, and does no evil, he will surely live; he will not die.
You say, the way of the Lord is not just. But I will judge each of you according to his own ways.
The watchman: These verses reiterate the teaching of two earlier passages 3:17-21; 18:5-29
Why?
Watchman have to do the warning mission to others, we all Christian are watchman, let people away from their sins and turn back to the Lord.
God does not like the death of the wicked, but like they turn from their ways and live. So God give them time and opportunity to turn back from their sins.
Righteous man has known the way what is right and wrong, but he sin against the Lord is more sever than wicked man so he will die, no because of his former righteousness.
How?
Be aware I am watchman of the Lord, be a light of the Lord among people. Keep my mission and duty before the Lord until the day I meet the Lord.

Lament concerning Pharaoh king of Egypt

Ezekiel 32:01-32
Take up a lament concerning Pharaoh king of Egypt and say to him.
This is the lament they will chant for her. The daughters of the nations will chant it; for Egypt and all her hordes they will chant it, declares the sovereign Lord.
The punishment for their sins rested on their bones, though the terror of these warriors had stalked(大步) through the land of the living.
March 585 after the news of Jerusalem's fall had reached the exiles, a lament for Pharaoh.
Egypt will join the other fallen nations: Assyria, Elam, Meshech, Tubal, Edom, Sidon. They are consigned to a great burial-chamber full of graves.
Why?
So many nations were terror and strong when they were living on the world. But now all of them are gone. No one remember them. All of them are consigned to a great burial-chamber full of graces.
Life time of people is so short, who can say I am strong and I can stand forever. None. All of us are small life like a worm. Man's life is weak, Under grace of the Lord is fortune and be blessed.
How?
Remind me be an good Christain and be aware what I am doing may honor name of the Lord.

Felled Cedar of Lebanon

Ezekiel 30:20-31:18
A Lament for Egypt, Pharaoh as felled Cedar of Lebanon.
Who can be compared with you in majesty? Consider Assyria, once a cedar in Lebanon, with beautiful branches overshadowing the forest; it towered on high, its top above the thick foliage.
On the day it was brought down to the realm of the dead I covered the deep springs with mourning for it; I held back its streams, and its abundant waters were restrained. Because of it I clothed Lebanon with gloom, and all the trees of the field withered away.
Which of the trees of Eden can be compared with you in splendor and majesty? Yet you, too, will be brought down with the trees of Eden to the earth below; you will lie among the uncircumcised, with those killed by the swordThis is Pharaoh and all his hordes(成群), declares the Sovereign Lord.
April 587. Pharaoh Hophra's army had made a half-hearted attempt to relieve besieged Jerusalem, but had been defeated. His power will be yet further broken.
June 587. Egypt is likened to a great cedar tree. Because of its overbearing pride the tree will be felled. Egypt will be removed to the place of the dead.
Why?
Because of its overbearing pride the tree will be felled. Egypt is likened to a great cedar tree. It is the Lord gives water cedar grow up and higher than other trees in forest.
Egypt and Assyria was strong and boast on his power. All of them were felled down.
How?
Dear Lord, please help me don't boast on anything thing or any matter, be aware of your grace and love on me. May my heart and my mind focusing on you.

Proud is a sin and uneasy to sense it

Ezekiel 29:01-30:19
A prophecy against Egypt.
I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt, you great monster lying among your streams. You say,"The Nile is mine; I made it for myself." But I will put hooks in your jaws and make the fish of your streams stick to your scales.
Because you said, "The Niel is mine; I made it." Therefore I am against you and against your streams, and I will make the land of Egypt a ruin and a desolate waste from Migdol to Aswan, as far as the border of Cush. I will make the land of Egypt desolate among devastated lands, and her cities will lie desolate forty years among ruined cities.
At the end of 40 years I will gather the Egyptians from the nations where they were scattered.
It will be the lowliest of kingdoms and will never again exalt itself above the other nations. I will make it so weak that it will never again rule over the nations. Egypt will no longer be a source of confidence for the people of Israel but will be a reminder of their sin in turning to her for help.
So I will inflict punishment on Egypt, and they will know that I am the Lord.
A collection of seven prophecies, all carefully dated. 29:1-16. Jan 587. By his insufferable pride in placing himself among the gods. Pharaoh has exposed his whole land to God's anger. But he will learn who is god. 29:17-21. New Year's day, 571. The long and costly siege of Tyre ended about 574. Ezekiel declares that Egypt will be Babylon's next prey.
30:1-19. undated. Ezekiel depicts the judgment Nebuchadnezzar will execute on Egypt and her allies. God will put an end to Egypt;s wealth and her gods.
Why?
Because of the proud and boast of Pharaoh, God's angry burn again on Egypt. So the Egypt will never again exalt above the other nations. They will no longer be a sources of confidence for the people of Israel but will be a reminder of their sin. This is the purpose of the Lord.
How?
Proud is a sin and uneasy to sense it come upon me. Dear Lord please help me let Holy Spirit remind me does I have any proud in my heart let me know and get rid of it.

But you are a man and not a god, king of Tyre

Ezekiel 28:1-26
A prophecy against the king of Tyre.
In the pride of your heart you say, "I am a god; I sit on the throne of a god in the heart of the seas." But you are a man and not a god, though you think you are as wise as a god.
The Sovereign Lord says: Because you think you are wise, as wise as a god, I am going to bring foreigners against you, the most ruthless of nations; they will draw their swords against your beauty and wisdom and pierce your shining splendor.
By your many sins and dishonest trade you have desecrated your sanctuaries.
A prophecy against Sidon.
I will send a plague upon her and make blood flow in her streets. They slain will fall within her, with the sword against her on every side. They will know that I am the Lord.
It is lament for the king of Tyre, whose pride has proved his downfall.
Another famous Old Testament sea-port, Sidon is in Lebanon, 20 miles north of Tyre. Today both Tyre and Sidon are small fishing-ports. The charge against Sidon is, again, contempt for God's people. Sidon, like Tyre, fell to Nebuchadnezzar.
V 26-26 are message of hope for Israel.
Why?
Wealth and smart make people proud, they though they were god, but they are men.
By his many sins and dishonest trade king of Tyre has desecrated his sanctuaries.
Neighbor nations of Israel will be punished when they sins and against Israel.
How?
Praise the Lord that God gives me wealthy and healthy and all I needed. It is grace of the Lord on me, so what can I do is give honor to the Lord and humble myself.

Tyre will sink into the heart of the sea on the day of your shipwreck

Ezekiel  27:01-36
They did business with you because of your great wealth of goods, many products.
But the east wind will break you to pieces in the heart of the sea. Your wealth, merchandise and wares, your mariners, seamen and shipwrights, and everyone else on board will sink into the heart of the sea on the day of your shipwreck(沉船).
As they wail and mourn over you, they will take up a lament concerning you: Who was ever silenced like Tyre, surrounded by the sea?
The merchants among the nations hiss at you; you have come to a horrible end and will be no more.
Tyre was a tempting prey. The city lay at the foot of the Lebanese mountains and possessed the finest natural harbor in the eastern Mediterranean. It was in fact a double harbor, as the main city was built on an offshore island. As a center of trade and commerce Tyre was fabulously wealthy, and her own glassware and purple dye were world famous. Ezekiel fittingly pictures the city as a great trading vessel laden with the choicest of cargoes, and commanding human skills and resources from far and wide. News of her wreck will put the world into mourning.
Why?
No matter how beauty, how wealth of good and products will pass away under God's wrath.
Tyre even will be no more and come to a horrible.
Judgment of the Lord is horrible, and no matter how strong or wealthy he was.
Tyre proud with their ship and trader, but all of their proud will sink into the heart of the sea.
How?
Nothing on the world is eternity, only God's word and God's Almighty Name.

How you are destroyed, city of renown, Tyre!

Ezekiel 26:01-21
Tyre has said of Jerusalem, 'Aha! The gate to the nations is broken, and its doors have swung open to me; now that she lies in ruins I will prosper, therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against you, O Tyre, and I will bring many nations against you, like the sea casting up its waves. They will destroy the walls of Tyre and pull down her towers; I will scrape away her rubble and make her a bare rock.
Lament concern to Tyre. How you are destroyed, city of renown(名望之城)  peopled by men of the sea! You were a power on the seas,    you and your citizens; you put your terror   on all who lived there. Now the coast lands tremble   on the day of your fall; the islands in the sea    are terrified at your collapse.
I will bring you to a horrible end and you will be no more. You will be sought, but you will never again be found, declares the Sovereign Lord.
The date of Ezekiel's prophecy is probably the end of the 11th year - February 586 - assuming that Ezekiel learn of the fall of Jerusalem that year, rather than the following one.
The forecast of chapter 26 proved all too Tyre, Tyre did not laugh long over Jerusalem's fate. Within a few months Nebuchadnezzar's army was at her own gates, and for 13 years she was under siege.
Why?
Be humble before the Lord, no matter I am prosper or I am poor, God is the Lord, God is my way, my hope and my fortress. Do not proud and laugh at someone who is suffering distress.
Encourage others and pray for them, for God is full of love and mercy.
Tyre for their proud and their boast, they were destroyed and never be found again.
How?
Be humble and fear the Lord!

God is Lord of the whole world

Ezekiel 25:1-17
Prophecy against Ammon: Because you have clapped your handsand stamped your feet, rejoicing with all the malice of your heart against the land of Israel, therefore I will stretch out my hand against you and give you as plunder to the nations. I will wipe you out from among the nations and exterminate you from the countries. I will destroy you.
Prophecy against Moab: Because Moab and Seir said, "Look, the house of Judah has become like all the other nations, there I will expose the flank of Maob. I will give Maob along with the Ammonites  to the people of the East as a possession.
Prophecy against Edom: Because Edom took revenge on the house of Judah and became very guilty by doing so. I will stretch out my hand against Edom and kill its men and their animals, I will lay it waste, and from Teman to Dedan they will fall by the sword.
Prophecy against Philistia: Because the Philistines acted in vengeance and took revenge with malice in their hearts, and with ancient hostility sought to destroy Judah. I am about to stretch out my hand against the Philistines, and I will cur off the Kerethites and destroy those remaining along the coast.
Although the prophets concentrated mainly on Israel/Judah, all of them were very conscious that God was Lord of the whole world. There is no nation beyond the reach of his judgment: and what he condemns and punishes in his own people, he condemns and punishes  in other nations too. This collection of prophecies evocatively marks the break in Ezekiel's ministry before , and his ministry after, the fall of Jerusalem in 587BC.
These four nations were Israel's closest neighbours, and her oldest enemies. All took
a vengeful delight in Israel's downfall, for which God will punish them, Shortly after this, Ammon, Moab and Edom were overrun by Nabataean tribesmen. The Philistines disappeared from history a century before the birth of Jesus.
Why?
God is the Lord of the world, he is the Lord of Israel and Judah, he is the Lord of other nations. God's judgment not only pour on his people, but also pour on other country's people.
My God is the sovereign Lord who is the God of whole world. and no one can escape from his judgment.
God doesn't like we do the revenge to our enemies for God who will judge all who against the Lord. God knows what his children suffering. So do not worry about the world and many social and political issues for the Lord knows, and God will do in his way.
How?
Honor name of the Lord and obey God's word, for God is my father, my way and my fortress, his love endures forever!

The stronghold in which you take pride, the delight of your eyes, the object of your affection

Ezekiel 24:15-27
This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am about to desecrate my sanctuary—the stronghold in which you take pride, the delight of your eyes, the object of your affection. The sons and daughters you left behind will fall by the sword. And you will do as I have done. You will not cover your mustache and beard or eat the customary food of mourners. You will keep your turbans on your heads and your sandals on your feet. You will not mourn or weep but will waste away because of[a] your sins and groan among yourselves.  Ezekiel will be a sign to you; you will do just as he has done. When this happens, you will know that I am the Sovereign Lord.
On that day a fugitive will come to tell you the news. At that time your mouth will be opened; you will speak with him and will no longer be silent. So you will be a sign to them, and they will know that I am the Lord.
Ezekiel's much-loved wife is suddenly taken from him. But God forbids him the customary forms of mourning. Ezekiel's personal loss is part of a grief beyond expression. People will eat their hearts out for the fate of Jerusalem, though they go about dry-eyed, like the prophet. And when news of the city's fall reaches them, Ezekiel will at last be able to speak freely; the judgment will be over.
Why?
Ezekiel be an symbol and warning to the Israelite, God let his loved wife suddenly taken away, and he could not mourn to his wife. And he will no speak until God's judgment is end, some of people came from Jerusalem to tell him the news.
It is very difficulty to a God's prophet, for Ezekiel will be a sing to his people, so Ezekiel be an example to them.
To be a God's servant have to give up the stronghold in which you take pride, the delight of your eyes, the object of your affection.
How?
Focus on the Lord and don't care about what I have and what I delight, love what God loves is my way have to be.

Woe to the city of bloodshed! You will be judged according to your conduct and your actions,

Ezekiel 24:1-14
Woe to the city of bloodshed, to the pot now encrusted, whose deposit will not go away! Empty it piece by piece without casting logs for them.
Woe to the city of bloodshed! I, too, will pile the wood high. It was frustrated all efforts; its heavy deposit has not been removed, not even by fire.
Now your impurity is lewdness. Because I tried to cleanse you but you would not be cleansed from your impurity, you will not be clean again until my wrath against you has subsided. I the Lord have spoken. The time has come for me to act. I will not hold back; I will not have pity, nor will I relent. You will be judged according to your conduct and your actions, declares the Sovereign Lord.
The date is the same as in 2 king 25:1; Jeremiah 52:4 - usually though to be 15 Jan 588BC. Jerusalem is like a rusty cooking pot, set on the fire to burn. The behavior of the people has polluted the city. The very same day that the siege is laid.
Why?
All of this judgment to Jerusalem is wrath from the Lord so God let them know the date, and the situation of Jerusalem, for they were the city of bloodshed.
Even God tried to clean them but they would not be cleansed from their impurity, so the desolation came upon them.
God used heavy deposit pot to describe the city of Jerusalem. Babylon has laid siege to Jerusalem like pot on fire at this very date.
How?
Keep the opportunity and time to accept Jesus Christ as our savior, when the time is passed, there is not way to be saved. Every one will be judged according to our conduct and our actions.

Oholah and Oholibah bear the consequences of their sins of idolatry

Ezekiel 23:1-49
Son of man, will you judge Oholah and Oholibah? Then confront them with their detestable practises.
This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Bring a mob against them and give them over to terror and plunder. So I will put an end to lewdness in the land, that all women may take warning and not imitate you. You will suffer the penalty for your lewdness and bear the consequences of your sins of idolatry. Then you will know that I am the Sovereign Lord.
Oholah is Samaria, capital of the northern kingdom of Israel. Oholibah is Jerusalem. Both sisters have behaved like common whores. Their appetite for their lovers is insatiable; their behaviour utterly disgusting. They have run, in turn, after Egypt and Assyria. Now Judah, outdoing her sister, is running after Babylon. Jerusalem will share Samaria's fate -shame and destruction at the hands of her latest lover. Her punishment is fully deserved.
Why?
Israel and Judah have the same sins, both of them against the Lord, they did detestable things and sins, so the Lord judged what have practices.
Worship idols will suffer from their own sins. The consequences of their sins of idolatry is terrible.
Jesus Christ is our savior, Jesus can bear out sins. There is no other way to be free.
How?
Everyone has to bear his consequences of their sins, except come to Jesus, Jesus can bear all of our sins when we turn to Him.

Anyone may stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land?

Ezekiel 22:17-31
Because you have all become dross, I will gather you into Jerusalem. As men gather silver, copper, iron, lead and tin into a furnace to melt in with a fiery blast, so will I gather you in my anger and my wrath and put you inside the city and melt you.
There is a conspiracy of her princes within her like a roaring lion tearing its prey;
Her priests do violence to my law and profane my holy things; they do not distinguish between the holly and the common.
Her officials within her are like wolves tearing their prey; they shed blood and kill people to make unjust gain.
Her prophets whitewash these deeds for them by false visions and lying divination.
I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none.
When God test them by fire, no trace of genuine metal will be found. Every section of society shares the guilt: ruler, priests, prophets and common people alike.
Why?
God looked his people like dross, no one be useful. All of them are sinner, From prince, priest, officials and prophets, are all lost what they should do. All of them shed blood and unjust gain.
Could I stand before the Lord in the gap on behalf of the land in Taiwan?
How?
May my mind and my heart be with the Lord Almighty and could be stand in the gap on behalf of the land.

God's people are guilty of blood shed

Ezekiel 22:01-16
Therefore I will make you an object of scorn to the nations and a laughing stock to all the countries.
See how each of the princes of Israel who are in you uses his power to shed blood.
1.In you they have treated father and mother with contempt; in you they have oppressed the foreigner and mistreated the fatherless and the widow.
2.You have despised my holy things and desecrated my Sabbaths.
3.In you are those who dishonor their father’s bed; in you are those who violate women during their period, when they are ceremonially unclean.
4.In you one man commits a detestable offense with his neighbor’s wife, another shamefully defiles his daughter-in-law,and another violates his sister, his own father’s daughter.
5.In you are people who accept bribes to shed blood; you take interest and make a profit from the poor. You extort unjust gain from your neighbors. And you have forgotten me, declares the Sovereign Lord.
I will put an end to your uncleanness. When you have been defiled[a] in the eyes of the nations, you will know that I am the Lord.
God's people are guilty of blood shed, oppression, extortion, bribery, and sexual sin; they have made a mockery of their religion.
Why?
God described what the Israelite have done, each of it is detestable thing. shed blood and oppress others, and shame the name of the Lord.
Both these are uglyly and destable so the Lord's angry burn down against them.
How?
God is righteousness and full of love, but anyone has sin, no one can stand before the Lord.

For I the Lord have spoken

Ezekiel 21:18-32
God knew that king of Babylon will cast lots with arrows, and he will come the lot for Jerusalem.
Because you people have brought to mind your guilt by your open rebellion, revealing your sins in all that you do - because you have done this you will be taken captive.
You will be fuel for the fire, your blood will be shed in your land, you will be remembered no more; for I the Lord have spoken.
Five years after Jerusalem fell, Nebuchadnezzar attacked Ammon.
Rabbah: Amman, present capital of Jordan.
Why?
God has announced the final judgment and it will come soon.
Because of their sins and their mind has sin against the Lord, so the destruction will come.
Blood shed in your land, you will be remembered no more. It is vanished and gone, nothing lift.
God's knows the future and knows the lots result, God is the sovereign Lord.
How?
Reverence the Lord for he is Almighty God, God's word is stand forever!

They are thrown to the sword along with my people. Therefore beat your breast

Ezekiel 20:45-21:17
Prophecy against the south: the blazing flame will not be quenched, and every face from south to north will be scorched by it.
They are thrown to the sword along with my people. Therefore beat your breast.
Said to land of Israel : I will draw my sword from its scabbard and cut off from you both the righteous and the wicked.
Cry out and wail, son of man, prophesy and strike your hands together. Let the sword strike twice, even three times. It is a sword for slaughter - a sword for great slaughter, closing in on them from every side.
Babylon, God's sword of Judgment.
God's judgment will sweep across the land from south to north like a forest fire.
The sword of God is drawn against Israel. It is in the hands of the king of Babylon, who will destroy the capital cities of both Ammon and Judah.
Why?
beat your breast: show how sad or guilty you feel in an obvious or public way 捶胸頓足
No way to get it back.
Babylon is God's sword of Judgment. When judgment come, roughteous and wicked both are fall down by the sword. God's wrath on the land both will be cut off..
How?
Fear the Lord and honor the Holy name of the Lord. Do not sad when it is too late to return.

You will know that I am the Lord, when I deal with you for my name’s sake

Ezekiel 20:33-44
As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I will reign over you with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm and with out poured wrath. I will bring you from the nations and gather you from the countries where you have been scattered—with a mighty handand an outstretched arm and with out poured wrath.
For on my holy mountain, the high mountain of Israel, declares the Sovereign Lord, there in the land all the people of Israel will serve me, and there I will accept them.
As for you, people of Israel, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: Go and serve your idols, every one of you! But afterward you will surely listen to me and no longer profane my holy name with your gifts and idols.
I will accept you as fragrant incense when I bring you out from the nations and gather you from the countries where you have been scattered, and I will be proved holy through you in the sight of the nations.
You will know that I am the Lord, when I deal with you for my name’s sake and not according to your evil ways and your corrupt practises, you people of Israel, declares the Sovereign Lord.

Why?
God judges his people with mighty hand, for no one can escape from God's mighty hands.
On God's holy mountain there are people of Israel serving God and God will accept them. It is the final scene of Israelite will be.
Go and serve your idols, every one of you! God gives us freedom you may go to anywhere you like and do what you like, but afterward you will listen to God, for God is love and God's judgment is terrible.
God arranged Jesus came to us as our savlation, God forgive all of our sins and forgive our evil ways when we turn to Jesus and trust in Jesus. This is great grace and love to all of us.
How?
Praise the Lord and give thanks to the Lord Almighty. You will know that I am the Lord, when I deal with you for my name’s sake. Yes, it is.
