Ezekiel 27:01-36
They did business with you because of your great wealth of goods, many products.
But the east wind will break you to pieces in the heart of the sea. Your wealth, merchandise and wares, your mariners, seamen and shipwrights, and everyone else on board will sink into the heart of the sea on the day of your shipwreck(沉船).
As they wail and mourn over you, they will take up a lament concerning you: Who was ever silenced like Tyre, surrounded by the sea?
The merchants among the nations hiss at you; you have come to a horrible end and will be no more.
Tyre was a tempting prey. The city lay at the foot of the Lebanese mountains and possessed the finest natural harbor in the eastern Mediterranean. It was in fact a double harbor, as the main city was built on an offshore island. As a center of trade and commerce Tyre was fabulously wealthy, and her own glassware and purple dye were world famous. Ezekiel fittingly pictures the city as a great trading vessel laden with the choicest of cargoes, and commanding human skills and resources from far and wide. News of her wreck will put the world into mourning.
Why?
No matter how beauty, how wealth of good and products will pass away under God's wrath.
Tyre even will be no more and come to a horrible.
Judgment of the Lord is horrible, and no matter how strong or wealthy he was.
Tyre proud with their ship and trader, but all of their proud will sink into the heart of the sea.
How?
Nothing on the world is eternity, only God's word and God's Almighty Name.
