Ezekiel 37:1-14
The Valley of Dry Bones
So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying ...
“Son of man, these bones are the people of Israel. They say, ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.’ Therefore prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: My people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel. Then you, my people, will know that I am the Lord, when I open your graves and bring you up from them. I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken, and I have done it, declares the Lord.
After ten years in exile, and with Jerusalem destroyed, the people have given up hope. No all Ezekiel's promises of restoration can raise a spark in his hearers. The nation is dead. But God can take even skeletons(骷髏) and make them into a living army. Ezekiel plays his part by making God's word known, but it is the Spirit of God who gives life. Israel will be remade and live again.
Why?
Ezekiel just said what God had commanded what he says. There was a miracle things happened.
Ezekiel plays his part by making God's word known: Ezekiel plays his part by making God's word known.
The nation is dead, but God can make them live and return from the grave. Even they were dry bones, God let breath into them from four winds.
God is the Lord of all living men.
God's word standing forever, people will know that God has spoken.
How?
Say what God commanded and let people know He is the Lord.
