Ezekiel 36:16-38
I had concern for my holy name, which the house of Israel profaned among the nations where they had gone.
I will show the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, the name you have profaned among them.
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.
This is what the Sovereign Lord says: On the day I cleanse you from all your sins, I will resettle your towns, and the ruins will be rebuilt.
Those who returned from exile were truly and permanently cured of idolatry. But the total transformation of a 'new heart' is realized on 'in Christ'. Ezekiel was thinking of something far more complex than a heart transplant: the heart, in Jewish thought, stood for the whole personality, the essential person.
Why?
Cleanse, resettle and rebuilt: It is a process of a new life be built.
God had concern for his holy name. no one can profaned his name among the nations.
Jesus Christ is the only one can give us new heart and transform from stone heart to flesh heart. It is real changed that from cool heart to warn heart to others.
How?
O Lord! Please blesses my heart with fear and honor your holy name everyday. Encourage me with your holy spirit. May your way be my way your mind be my mind.
