Jonah 1:10-16
This terrified them and they ask "what you have done and what should we do to you to make the sea calm down for us?"
Jonah replied "Pick me up and throw me into the sea." and it will calm down. I know that it is my fault that this great storm has come upon you.
Instead, the men did their rest to row back to land, but they couldn't. Then they cried to the Load, "O Load, please don't let us die for take this man's life. Do not hold us accountable for killing an innocent man,for you,O Load, have done as you pleased."
At this men greatly feared the Load and they offered a sacrifice to the Load and make vows to him.
Why?
Jonah knew it was his fault that great storm has come upon them. Jonah didn't pray to the Load to change his mind, he chose to die and get rid of this mission to Nineveh. God didn't allowed it.
The men on the board they heard it terrified the Load, then they feared the Load, for the Load is righteous and listened to their prayer.
Those men knew they couldn't killing an innocent man, for they wondered Jonah said is truth or false.
Finally they did their rest to row the boat to land, but they couldn't. Instead, .... but....
Instead, people do their own way to conquer the trouble, but they couldn't.
A man knew he has sin or fault that mean he is hopeful to be saved or corrected.
How?
Man will chose his own way to solve the problems ,it is use the gift that God gave us, it is good. When it is over our capability the best choice is pray to the Load. This is a very simple way but many people don' t believed it. Who is the wise man, humble himself and has faith to the Load is real wisdom man.
