Observe what the Lord requires

1 Kings 2:1-46
The kingdom was firmly established in hands of Solomon.
When the time drew near to dead, he gave a charge to Solomon his son. He reminded Solomon observe what the Lord requires: Walk in his ways, and keep his decrees and commands, his lows and requirements, as written in the Law of Moses, so that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you go.
David said to Solomon with his wisdom, don't let Joab, Shimei gray head go down to the grave in pace, for Joab killed two better men and more upright than he. Shimei who called down bitter curses on David the day David went to Mahanaim.
Adonijah was keep in mind that the kingdom was his, but things changed and the kingdom  has gone to his brother and wanted have Abishag as his wife. So let Solomon has reason to kill him.
David also reminded show kindness to the sons of Barzillai of Gilead and let them be among those who eat at your table.
Why?
All of these men are the potential trouble makers to Solomon.
David did not forget everyone did mercy to him and remembered each evil man.
King David told his son the most important thing is observe what the Lord requires, it is the only way let his kingdom prosper and he will never fail to have a man on the throne of Israel
How?
For a kingdom or for a man, observe what the Lord requires is the only way to let us prosper.
