1 Kings 10:11-22
Solomon's Splendor: All king Solomon's goblets were god , and all the household articles in the Palace of the Forest of Lebanon were pure gold. Nothing was made of silver, because silver was considered of little value in Solomon's days. The king had a fleet of trading ships at sea along with the ships of Hiram. Once every three years it returned, carrying gold, silver and ivory, and apes and baboons.
Solomon got much gold from tax and trade and gifts from foreign kings.
Solomon's revenue through trade and taxes is enormous. But consumer spending more than keeps pace.
Why?
There were so detail described the usage of gold in king Solomon, means his splendor, rich and proud. Solomon shows his splendor and made useless 500 gold shields.
Solomon had the great wisdom, but he used his wisdom on his wealth.
How?
How to control the desire of human being? Holy life is not made by gold, but the Holy Spirit!
