The Lord called Moses from within the bush

 Exodus 3:1-6

Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel of the LORD appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. So Moses thought, “I will go over and see this strange sight—why the bush does not burn up.” When the LORD saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, “Moses! Moses!” And Moses said, “Here I am.” “Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.” Then he said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.” At this, Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God.

Moses is actually at Sinai, the very place where he will later receive the law when God calls to him. Born a Hebrew, brought up an Egyptian, Moses is facing his own crisis of identity, made worse by his people's rejection. As he wanders the desert, he is halted by the sight of a blazing bush. Is it real? Is it a vision?

Why？

In the mountain of God, Horeb, the Lord appeared to Moses, It is the Lord spoke to him. Moses is the chosen one from the Lord.

God said who he is, the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God os Isaac and the God os Jacob. God is the God across time, God is the God of Israelite from the beginning. God is the creator of the world and God has chosen Israelite as his people.

For God is holy so God asked Moses take off his sandals. So as we come the church should be wear a formal dressing and shoes.

摩西第一次遇見神

1)遇見神的時機： 牧羊的時候。在工作中，不是在聚會中，禱告中。遇見神是時時刻刻都可以的，在一般生活中。摩西有注意到，有敏銳的心，對神的作為敏感。不限於什麼特會中。神對我們說話可能在我們與神單獨在一起時。

2)神在荊棘火焰中顯現：火焰是榮耀，荊棘代表卑微，沒有用的東西。兩個相對的東西中顯現。神也不是在香柏木中顯現。神可以用最卑微的上顯現，我們是否願意被神使用，做卑微的升高。

3)荊棘與火是分開的：火不是用荊棘當燃料，自己發光。荊棘也不會燒光，代表神是自有永有的神。

4)異象使人更謙卑： 因為神在那裏，所以變神聖的地方。人在聖地要脫鞋子，主人才可以穿鞋，僕人要脫鞋。我們很想看見神的榮耀，如果我們希望看見反而去傳講，這不是謙卑。我們親近神，愈謙卑。摩西不敢見神。

The Lord is Holy God, We are unable to look at God, for we are sinner and unless the mercy of the Lord we cannot stand before the Lord.
