Family Record of Moses and Aaron

The sons of Reuben the firstborn son of Israel were Hanok and Pallu, Hezron and Karmi. 

The sons of Simeon were Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jakin, Zohar and Shaul the son of a Canaanite woman. 

These were the names of the sons of Levi according to their records: Gershon, Kohath and Merari. Levi lived 137 years.

The sons of Izhar were Korah, Nepheg and Zikri.

Amram married his father’s sister Jochebed, who bore him Aaron and Moses. Amram lived 137 years.

Aaron married Elisheba, daughter of Amminadab and sister of Nahshon, and she bore him Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

Eleazar son of Aaron married one of the daughters of Putiel, and she bore him Phinehas.

These were the heads of the Levite families, clan by clan.

Who are Moses and Aaron? The genealogy identifies them as the descendants of Jacob through the lone of his son Levi. The list is an extract from the longer one in Numbers 26.

Why?

Here described the genealogy identifies Moses and Aaron are the heritage of Jacob, they are the Israelites.

摩西父親是暗蘭。這裏插入家譜即確認摩西的身世，沒有任何外邦血統，摩西和亞倫都是普通人。指出摩西身世血統、平凡與軟弱。這裏對於亞倫的家譜說明又更清楚。這個是大祭司的家族。神重視大祭司的婚姻，對於他們的婚姻有特別的要求。

所以我們基督徒也是要娶基督徒的配偶，成為祝福。

我們都是平凡人，神呼召我們，使我們成為神的器皿，要成就神偉大的事工。
