Consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds

Psalm 77:1-20

I cried out to God for help; I cried out to God to hear meWhen I was in distress, I sought the Lord; at night I stretched out untiring hands, and I would not be comforted.

I remembered my songs in the night. My heart meditated and my spirit asked: “Will the Lord reject forever? Will he never show his favor again? Has his unfailing love vanished forever? Has his promise failed for all time? Has God forgotten to be merciful? Has he in anger withheld his compassion?”

I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds.

With your mighty arm you redeemed your people, the descendants of Jacob and Joseph.

The clouds poured down water, the heavens resounded with thunder; your arrows flashed back and forth.

Your path led through the sea, your way through the mighty waters, though your footprints were not seen

You led your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

Has God stopped loving us? He seems no longer to care for his people, and there is no comfort in present troubles. Wishfully, longingly, the psalmist reflects on better times, calling to mind God's past great deeds on behalf of his people.

Why?

When we are in distress or sick or unfair, fail in our life, we might wonder where is the Lord? Why we will be in this situation. Actually, God is working, even the failure in our life is good to us.

God's footprints were not seen, just meditate on the great words and powerful deed the Lord has done. We will know that how little we are.

How?

Turn to the Lord and consider all his works and meditate on all His mighty deeds.
