Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever

Psalm 106:1-23
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.
Remember me, O Lord, when you show favor to your people, come to my aid when you save them, that I may 1)enjoy the prosperity of your chosen ones, that I may 2)share in the joy of your nation and 3)join your inheritance in giving praise.
The psalmist confessed their forefather sins:
Forgot what he had done and did not wait for his counsel.
Their craving
They grew envious of Moses
Made a calf and worshiped an idol cast from metal
Grumbled in their tents and did not obey the Lord.
Yoked themselves to the Ball of Peor and ate sacrifices offered to lifeless gods.
They angered the Lord by the waters of Meribah.
The psalm begins with praise of God's goodness and love. But from v 6 it becomes a confession of the nation's sin from Egypt to the psalmist's own day.
Why?
The Lord never change forever, his righteous, his love, his words.
Usually changing is our heart when the situation are changed or our life are to easy, we may forget the Lord.
We are easy forget the grace of the Lord
The sins Israelite had done, we also easy to do the same thing again in this generation.
Craving - cheap bargain, desert, little profits.
idol - job position, good title, people admire, house, money, beauty or fashion phone.
Grumble - criticize other speaking, other's work, other's honor and the fair of the Lord.
Yoked to other idols - working for idol relative matter, eat or get profit of idols. Even don't mention their god's name.
Water - for the food and wind forget the Lord.
How?
What I have to do is humble myself, turn my heart to the Lord, look on His face always. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.
