Psalm 105:1-25
Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Tell of all his wonderful acts; sing to him, song praise to him.
Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always. Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
He remembers his covenant forever the word he commanded, for a thousand generations.
Famine is the way of God laid down, he sent a man before them- Joseph, sold as a slave. They bruised his feet with shackles his neck was put in irons, till what he foretold came to pass, till the word of the Lord proved him true.
This psalm focuses on God and his people. The call to praise is followed by a history of how God chose Israel and gave them the land: the patriarchs族長; Joseph's story.
Why?
Look to the Lord and his strength, seek his face always- for He is our Lord, He is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.
Seeking the Lord will be rejoice, the Lord provides everything to us.
Joseph didn't know what will be when he was sold as a slave, until God told him came and the word of the Lord proved him true. The procedure is difficult but more important is the word of God always is true.
Look to: to turn one's eyes toward something or in some direction in order to see. Give a look.
How?
Look on the Lord and his strength, seek his face always. Let me rejoice when I am seeking the Lord's face.
