2 Thessalonian 1:1-12
Because their faith is growing mire and more and the love every one for each other increasing, Paul boast about their perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trials they are enduring.
God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels.
With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may count you worthy of his calling and that by his power he may fulfill every good purpose of ours and every act prompted by your faith. The name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in us, according to the grace of our god and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Why?
Paul encouraged and comforted them that God is just, he will pay back trouble to those who trouble you, punish those who do not know God.
The Thessalonians seem to have protested against the extravagant praise of Paul's first letter. He replies that it is only right to thank God for their growing faith and love and their firm stand in face of persecution.
The purpose of Christian life is let the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in us.
How?
Stand firm and encourage with faith, constantly pray for this country, land and the people for their salvation and many missionaries for the Lord in this world.
