Prayed to the God of heaven

Nehemiah 2:1-9
Four months later the king saw Nehemiah had sad face for he had not been sad in his presence before.
The king said to Nehemiah "What is it you want?"
Nehemiah prayed to the God of heaven and answered the king.
Because the gracious hand of my God was upon me, the king granted my requests. He got the letter to Trans-Euphrates to provide he safe conduct until he arrive in Judah, got letter to Asaph, fave him timber to make beams for the gates of the citadel(堡壘) by the temple and for the city wall and for the residence.
He king had also sent army officers and cavalry(騎兵) with Nehemiah.
Why?
Nehemiah want to rebuild the wall and gate of Jerusalem, he need the support from the king, so he had prayed for four months and though about what material he need and how ling he will take this journey.
Planning first and wait for the opportunity when opportunity comes, before explain it pray to the Lord, for all of these are justified by the Lord.
The sorry of Jerusalem is a direct consequence of Artaxerxes' decree that building should cease(Ezra 4:7-23). Nehemiah therefore takes his life in his hands in championing a city which has been represented to the king as a hot-bet of rebellion. Even by letting his grief show in the king's presence he places himself in grave danger. But Nehemiah's concern for his people outweighs self-interest. God answers his prayer, and Aetaxerxes grants his request. Unlike Ezra, he set out on his journey with a military escort.(1760km/1100miles, longer than Ezra's by 260km/200miles)
How?
Pray to the Lord first when I have anything concern, pray in God's will. The Lord is full of mercy and love when we obey his command and live with reverence heart to God.
