All men are like grass and all their glory is like the flowers of the field. The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever.
Why?
Up to this point the book of Isaiah has been largely taken up with the threat from Assyria.
Isaiah 40-55 addresses these dispirited exiles. Although God has puished them as he had so often warned, and as they deserved - he still loves them. They can trust him. He has the power to help them and fulfil his promises.
These chapter are so full of hope and comfort that they are known as the "Bool of the Cosolation of Israel".
This whole section speaks so powerfully of God's salvaton that Christians see in it something much bigger than the rescue of Israel at a particular time in history. Here is God's firm purpose to deliver himanking from the 'bondage of sin; his promise of a new life for all who will come to him.
People has sin have to paid gouble price for his sins fromt the Lord, but the love of the Lord alway more than the panelty when we turn to the Lord.
Hard service, flighting, or stress, which are the discipline from the Lord prepare for our benefit.
The word of the Lord stands forever! All of human being' glory or name are temporary like grass ad the flower of the field. It will withers and fall. Don't have pay too much attention on it, pay more effot on the credit of the Heaven.
