A Spiritual leader needs the Holy Spirit

Numbers 27:1-23
Sons or daughter be born is random to each one. Son and daughter has the same right to get the inheritance of his father. This is the first rule in human beings about the woman from the Lord.
The law said that land passed from father to eldest son, keeping it in the tribe. But Zelophehad left only daughters. Women could not normally inherit in other ancient Near Eastern countries, but in Israel the ruling is given that, failing sons, daughters may inherit. But they must marry within their own tribe to safeguard the tribal inheritance.
Joshua to succeed Moses: 1)Take Joshua , a man in whom is the Spirit 2)lay hand on him. 3)Make him stand before Eleazar the priest and all the congregation, 4)commission him in their sight. 5)give him some of your authority. Then the people of Israel may obey him.
Why?
Moses' life is almost over, as he looks out over the promised land. Joshua, his right hand man and one of the two faithful spies is God's choice of successor. He is now invested with authority to lead the nation in Moses' place.
Spiritual leader to succeed the leader needs above five steps, lay hand on him is transfer the Spirit of the Lord to him. Do it in public let people know this is an announcement to whole assembly.
Moses always ask the Lord when problem happened, the Lord gave him the best answer.
How?
When I have to make any decision that I don't know pray to the Lord is the best way. To be a Spiritual Leader I need the Holy Spirit with me.

In God I trust

Numbers 26:52-65
The land shall be divided by lot. Their inheritance shall be divided accordig to lot between the larger and the samller. Make it fair to each tribe.
Levites listed were 23,000, every make from a month old and upward.
God's words are never failed since the beginning.
Why?
The last generation who had come out of Egypt (all but Moses, Joshua and Caleb) perished.
No relative to the truth of the Lord, decision making by lot is the best one. Avoid the complain.
How?
God's word is always true and never failed. In God I trust.

Number of Shepherd

Numbers 26:1-27
Second Census was done for all those twenty years old or more who are able to serve in the army of Israel. Last generations were died.
Reuben: 43,730   less 2,700
Simeon: 22,200   less 37,000
Gad: 40,500         -5,150
Judah: 76,500      +1,900
Issachar: 64,300   +9,900
Zebulen: 60,500    +3,100
Manasseh: 52,700   +20,500
Ephraim: 32,500      -8,000
Benjamin: 45,600     +10,200
Dan: 64,400       +1,700
Asher: 53,400      +11,900
Naphtali: 45,400  -800
Total 601,730     -1,820
The numbers are slightly fewer than in the first census.
Why?
The reason for the census, this time, was so that the land could be shared out fairly, according to the size of the different groups.
The Lord don't like king to count his army, but make census is good to them to share the land in promise land, subdue the argument in the future.
Shepherd people should not care how much you are taking care, but when the environment is getting better the number of lamb, person, will increase for the giving of the Lord.
The number of each tribe let us know which tribes were against God much more.
How?
The Lord has wonderful plan in his hands, has authority across the time. Number of Shepherd is under the hands of the Lord.

Zealous for the honor of the Lord

Numbers 25:1-18
Men of Israel indulge in sexual immorality with Moabite women. They are worshipping the Ball of Peor.
Phinehas was as zealous as I am for my honor among them, the Lord said. He and his descendants will have a covenant of a lasting priesthood.
This event and the affair of Peor, so Miianites are enemies of Israel.
Ball of Peor: The local deity of the place 'Baal' gradually became a proper name for the great fertility god of the Canaanites.
Moabite... Midianite: The interchange of terms sounds confused, but from late patriarchal(any of the three ancestors of the Hebrew people) times there was a good deal of overlap in the use of the terms 'Midianite', 'Ishmaelite', 'Medanite', 'Moabite'
Zealous: ardently active, devoted, or diligent; full of, characterized by
Why?
It was at Balaam's instruction(31:16) that the Midianite women brought Israel low at Peor. And he paid for it with his life(31:8)
Understand what is the Lord hates and loves, zealous to do it to honor name of the Lord is delight to the Lord. The Lord love humble, righteousness and mercy, God hates evil and cheating and worshipping other gods.
Indulge in sexual immorality is man whose heart have not God and do what he likes.
Sexual relations with the Moabite women led the men of Israel to break faith with God and worship Baal.
Lasting priesthood is an honor, so as to be a pastor or minister of the Lord is an honor.
How?
Am I zealous to the love of God? Love Lord and do what the Lord loves. Zealous for the honor of the Lord and atonement for the assembly.

God is keep working for me

Numbers 24:1-25
Balaam did not resort to sorery(巫術)as at other times, but turned his face toward the desert.
Three time Balaam blessed Israelites, so Balak's anger burned against Balaam. Before Balaam returned to his home, he warned Balak of what this people will do to his people in days to come.
Ah, who can live when God does this. With a different word division of the Hebrew: A people will gather from the north.
The fourth oracle tops all. Predicts a victorious future king who will defeat all Israel's enemies.
Why?
Balaam wanted to curse Israel, but the Lord did not allow he to do it.
The blessed one is one who blesses him will be blessed, one who curses his will be cursed.
When God's anger burn out no one can live.
Something God is working for his people, but his people did not know it yet.
How?
The Lord is working for us who love Him. Blessed is the one loves God and knows the Almight God.

Have faith to the Lord, don’t be afraid to what we see

Numbers 23:1-30
9/24/2013
First place of seven altars can see whole Israelite. Second place see only a part but not all of them. Third times overlooking the wasteland.
Balaam asked Balak built seven altars and he listened the oracle from the Lord.
God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind.
The Lord let Balaam proclaim to Balak and other nations what is the plan of the Lord will do to Israel and God is with them.
Neither bribe nor threat will budge him from the truth as God reveals it to him.
Three times Balaam blesses Israel, to the increasing anger of Balak.
God’s purpose seems to be so to impress Balaam, that no matter how hard Balak works on him, the prophet will stick to the truth.
Why?
The Lord is not a man, his plan won’t change and his words always are truth.
Balaam hope there is some opportunity to curse Israel and get some reward from Balak, but the Lord don’t allow he do so. The Lord used Balaam, craved reward, proclaimed his blessing to Israelites.
Seven altars with bull and ram are great altars to the Lord. But the Lord doesn’t see these offering.
Seeing the people or did not see the people both won’t change the mind of the Lord, and his word. See the feature or not won’t change our faith to the Lord. So as the Lord to us.
How?

Don’t look at the scene of our eyes but focus on the Lord, He is our hope and our savior. Faith is not build on what we see but on what we have not seen. The Lord always do the new things for me.

Path of reckless; speak only what God puts in my mouth

Numbers 22:21-41
9/23/2013
The angle of the Lord stopped the way of Balaam, because his path is reckless.
The Lord told Balaam twice, “Go with these men, but speak only what I tell you.” For Balaam liked to go with them.
Balaam replied to Balak, “But can I say just anything? I must speak only what God puts in my mouth.”
Reckless: foolhardy, rash, marked by defiant disregard for danger or consequences. Characterized by careless unconcern.
Why?
If this path has bad consequence or useless, why we have keep going on? Caring the concern of the Lord instead of human’s invitation, men’s concern.
To be a prophet or a minister of the Lord, speak only what God puts in my mouth. Don’t speak my knowledge or my information. Proclaim what the Holy Spirit puts in my mouth and in my heart.
How?
To be a minister in church, a servant of the Lord, speak only what God puts in my mouth.

Persistence and reckless are similar, be careful don’t be on the way of reckless. Consider the consequences.

To be a noble man in present of the Lord

Numbers 22:1-20
9/22/2013
The Lord didn’t allow Balaam put curse on Israelite, because they are blessed.
Balaam has known what the Lord has said, but when Balak sent more numerous and distinguished princes, and promised reward him handsomely and give whatever he says. Balaam tried to find out what else the Lord will say.
The victorious Israelites return to camp on the doorstep of Balak king of Moab, who with Midianite support, sends post-haste to Pethor to the Euphrates for Balaam the diviner to come and curse his enemies. It was a routine business arrangement for the prophet, in a day when everyone believed in the power of words (especially formal ‘blessings’ and ‘cursings’) to influence events.
What is surprising is the disclosure that the source of Balaam’s knowledge is God himself. And neither bribe nor threat will budge him from the truth as God reveals it to him.
Why?
When one’s mind turn away from the Lord, the Lord usually won’t stop it for you had known it. But it won’t change the plan of the Lord.
Israelites are the blessed tribes that they were chosen by the Lord to be his heritance. Now each one who believes in Jesus Christ and follow his commands will be the son of the Lord.
Balaam knew what his word comes from, but he was wanted to find out the possibility to get more reward.
How?
Greave is evil mind to the Lord, O Lord! Please keep my mind and my heart pure and focus on you, for I need your reminder and strength to walk on your way. Let me be a noble man among people, don’t be a wicked one.

Do our part then the Lord will help us the others

9/21/2013
Numbers 21:1-35
Homah: completely destroyed
Bronze snake: for the people grew impatient on the way; they spoke against God and Moses. Anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, he lived. àIf he didn’t look at the bronze snake, he died. Salvation need the one who was bitten do the portion of his.
Israel asked Sihon king of Amorites let them pass through their country, but Sihon rejected them and mustered his entire army and marched out into the desert against Israel. Israel put him to the sword and took over his land, but only as far as the Ammonites, because their border was fortified. Israel captured all the cities of the Amorites and occupied them.
Israel struck Bashan down, together with his sons and his whole army, leaving them no survivors.
Safe-conduct refused:
The Israelites had going north, directly into Canaan, against God’s orders, ad had suffered a punishing defeat. Now they must go east in order to travel north of the far side of the Dead Sea. But Edom stands in the way, deaf to Moes’s sweet-talk.
Once again Israel requests safe-passage and is refused, but this time they fight and win. The Amorite King Sihon has taken the lands of Moab and rules from the Arnon in the south to the Jabbok in the north, from his capital city of Heshbon. Continuing north the Israelites defeat Og of Bashan at Edrei.
Why?
Once again Israelites complained against God and Moses for there is not bread, not water and detest this miserable food. The Lord sent venomous snakes among them. So the trouble was sent from the Lord, but the salvation also given by the Lord.  The dead is the destination of the Lord given to human being, resurrection also given by the Lord through Jesus Christ. The responsibility of man is turn his eyes to Jesus Christ, the one hanged on the pole like the bronze snake.
How?
We have sickness and troubles in our daily life, but the grace of the Lord is good to us. Always turn our eyes on the Lord. Do our part then the Lord will help us the others.

Speak in haste are repented at leisure

Numbers 20:1-29
9/20/2013
The Lord said to Moses “Speak to that rock before their eyes and it will pour out its water.” But Moses said to the assembly “Listen, you rebels, must we bring you water out of this rock?” Moses raised his arm and struck the rock twice with his staff before the assembly with angry to them.
The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them.”
Aaron died on top of the mountain Hor. His son Eleazar takes him as priest. The entire house of Israel mourned for him thirty days.
Jacob died, the Egyptians mourned for him 70 days.
Moses died, the Israelites grieve for Moses in the plains of Moses 30 days.
At Kadesh, on the borders of Edom, Miriam dies. Miriam, Aaron and Moses will all die in the same year – on the brink of entry into Canaan.
Why?
Most of the quarrels of the community are caused by lack water, food, meat, and terror. Relative to their living and life. People are afraid to die.
Nothing seems to cure the people’s grumbles. They were moaning when they first left Egypt. They are moaning still, after all the years of God’s providing.
Moses’ sin seems to lie in the words ‘Must we get water…?’, as if he and Aaron, not God, brought the water from the rock. How often words spoken in haste are repented at leisure休閒. Because of this, Moses will not lead the people into the land he so longs to enter. Even the greatest of God’s servants, after a long lifetime of trust and obedience, can fall.
How?
Unless the blessing of the Lord how can a man walk lifetime to obey the Lord’s commands. I have to confess that I am weak and nothing if the Lord does not work with me. A human being has temper, emotional reaction, flesh weakness, selfish mind, etc. O, Lord, please help me to walk with you with faith and strength from you.

Prevent the infection of sins when serve people

Numbers 19:1-22
The water of cleansing: red heifer without defact and has never under a yoke. Eleazar the priest; take some of its blood on his finger and sprinkle it 7 times toward the front of the Tent of Meeting. The heifer is to be burned, ashes of the heifer shall be kept by the Israelite community for use in the water of cleansing.
Anyone processed this ashes of heifer will be unclean till evening. He muse wash his clothes.
Anyone touched the dead body will be unclean 7 days, he must purify himself by the cleasing water on 3rd day and 7th day. He must wash his clothes and bathe with water.
The man who sprinkles or touches the water of cleansing will be unclean till evening, he must wash his clothes.
The ritual with the red heifer is the remedy for defilement by contact with a dead body. To minimize the risk of accidental defilement, tombs were later painted white.
Why?
Anyone who sprinkle the cleansing water will be unclean till evening, erase other's sin, might has some sin upon his body, so he is unclean till evening. It remind us that help others or serve others as a minister in church, the sin of the world easily affects the servant of the Lord. So we have to clean our heart and body, clothes before we serve it and after the service we must clean ourself through Jesus Christ.
Clean people can come to the Lord, but unclean people, has sin in him, could not come to the Lord. Jesus Christ is our savior, our redeemer. His blood may atones us no matter what I am when I turn to Him.
How?
The sin will infect to others, so be careful to serve the people with pure heart and the blessing of the Lord, let us not be attack from the evil.
The armor of God: be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Stand firm with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastpate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit.  Keep on praying for all the saints. (Ephesians 6:13-18)

God's kingdom in this world; Tithe

Numbers 18:1-32
Responsible for the care of
Service of the priesthood as a gift.
Said to Aaron:
Offerings from the Israelites the Lord gives to them as their portion and regular share.
Redeem the firstborn son and male of unclean animals. But you must not redeem the firstborn of an ox, a sheep or a goat; they are holy. Their meat is to be yours.
Have not inheritance in their land, not will you have a share among them; I am your share and your inheritance among the Israelites.
Said to Moses:
The tithe from Isrealite is given to Levites, you must presnt a tenth of the tithe as the Lord's offering. you must give the Lord's portion to Aaron the priest.
Present as the Lord's portion the best and holiest part of everthing given to you.
Redeem:
  1. Compensate for the faults or bad aspects of (something): "a disappointing debate redeemed by an outstanding speech".
  2. Do something that compensates for poor past performance or behavior.
  3. to buy or pay off; clear by payment: to redeem a mortgage.
    2.
to buy back, as after a tax sale or a mortgage foreclosure.
    3.
to recover (something pledged or mortgaged) by payment or other satisfaction
Responsible: answerable or accountable, as for something within one's power, control,or management (often followed by to  or for  ): He is responsible to thepresident for his decisions.
Neither priests nor Levites share in the inheritance of the land: God is their share.
God gives the sacrificial offerings, firstfruits and firstlings. THe Levites are given the nation's tithes. They in turn give one-tenth to the priests, as thier gift to God. What they give must be the best.
Why?
Tithe is the gift to servant of the Lord, all we have are the blessing of the Lord, so we are responsible to servants of the Lord.
Give the best to the Lord for He is worthy for praise and worthy for honor.
The servants of the Lord have to be Holy and take responsibility to serve between the Lord and God's people.
The portion belongs to God cann't be redeem have to be burnt offering.
Priesthood is gift for it is chosen by the Lord. It is an honor and Holy work.
Aaron is the highest priest, Moses is the leader of Israelite, so the Lord makes clear what their parts are.
How?
Give tithe of our products is the regulation from the Lord and it is our responsibility to the Lord. Levites has not inhertance in the land. Both are enough for living and serving in everything. This is the kingdom of the Lord in the world.

Lost and gain

Numbers 17:1-13
The Lord got rid of himself of this constant grumbling aginst Aaron by the israelites.
This will put an end to their grumbling against God, so they will not die.
When Moses said to the Israelites, they said "We will die! We are lost, we are all lost! Anyone who even comes near the tabernalce of the Lord will die. Are we all going to die?"
Lost: to suffer defeat or fail to win, missing; not used to good purpose, as opportunities, time, or labor; wasted; dead.
Like all biblical miracles, the budding, blossoming and fruiting of Aaron's staff has a very practical point. Everyone can see where God's choice falls. THere is not more room for dispute. The staff is kept in God's sanctuary as a permanent warning.
Key words:
Miracle sing, Lost, get rid of grumbling, warning,
Why?
The Lord gave sign to all communities of Israelite, identify Aaron, Levite Tribe is the one chosen by the Lord to serve Him in the Holy Place.
The staff was not only sprout but had budded, blossomed and produced almonds in one night. Both of the procedures of staff are shown in one staff. This is not nature results, it is the work from the Lord.
The work had done by the Lord is beyond of human's eyes and mind, it is impossible to the world.
The Lord who helps his servant from the attaction, ceases the grumbling and gives them the honor to serve Him.
Most of the communities saw the terrible results, but they didn't know the authority and love of the Lord. Some miracles make people panic if they don't know the Lord.
Lost is not really lost but gain when we are get along with the Lord.
How?
Lost and gain what I have, may I lost the world but gain the gift of the Lord. Give me the Jesus.

God always doing the new things

Numbers 16:25-50
No one except a descendant of Aaron should come to burn incense before the Lord.
The next day after the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them- house of Korah, Aniram, Dathan and all their possessions. The whole Israelite community grumbled against Moses and Aaron again. God's wrath  has come out and the plague had already started among the people, Aaron offered the incense and made atonement for them. But 14,700 people died from the plague. It was not the whole community died.
The attack is on God, and it is God who puts the rebellion down.
The very next day the whole community opposes the leadership and is subject to God's judgment, to be saved once again by Moses and Aaron.
Why?
God makes use of natural forces to execute judgment. The phenomenon here may be the breaking up of the hard crusty surface which forms over deep lakes of liquid mud in the Arabia rift valley where this incident occurred.
Moses prayed to the Lord show His punishment in his way but not humans way, then people will know who is belong to the Lord.
Respect the anointed one who serve the Lord, who is the servant of the Lord.
Let people know the judgement of the Lord to the rebellious people.
How?
God's way is not the way of people's, the Lord always doing the new things. Pray to the Lord and asked the sign could be special signature.

Is equal right before the Lord?

Numbers 16:1-24
Lorah, Dathan, Aniram and other 250 Israelites men, well-known community leaders challenged the leadership of Moses and Aaron. They said the community is holy, everyone of them, and the Lord is with them. Everyone is equal before the Lord.
Moses humbled himself, he fell face down, and he said, "In the morning the Lord will show who belongs to him and who is holy, and he will have that person come near him.
Moses also said to Korah 'you Levites! Isn't it enough for you that the God of Israel has separated you from the rest of the Israelite community and brought you near himself to do the work at the Lord's tabernacle , but now you are trying to get the priesthood too. Who is Aaron that you should grumble against him?
Moses summoned them, but they said they will not come!
Moses once again cried out to the Lord when the Lord planned to put and end to those people at once.
Korah's grievance is Aaron's monopoly of the priesthood.
Dathan and Abiram challenge Moes on the grounds of high-handedness and his failure to bring them into the promised land. But at root the arrack is on God, ad it is God who puts the rebellion down.
God accepts the truth of Moses and Aaron plea, spareing the people.
Why?
Those three men and the leaders of Israelites were asked the equal right before the Lord, it is they don't like the leader of Moses, actually they grumbled again the Lord.
Moses didnot argu with them but facedown and cried to the Lord, meanwhile Moese said to those people what they have done wrong.
When the Lord was angry to put an end of those people, Moses pray for them to the Lord, asked for the mercy from the Lord. This is the love and wide heart of a great leader.
How?
Everyone has the same right to live and equal opportunity to accept the salvation, equal love to us, but it is not everyone has the same right or get the same position to serve the Lord. Everyone gets the different gift from the Lord. But serve the Lord with our gift to complete the integraty of the Lord's plan is our responsibility and please to the Lord.

Not only reading God's words but obey God's commands

Numbers 15:22-41
Unintentionally fail to keep any of these commands and the community being not aware of it. A young bull for a burnt offering as aroma pleasing to the Lord along with its grain offering and drink offering.
If just one person sins unintentionally: a year-old female goat for a sin offering.
But anyone who sins defiantly, that person must be cut off from his people.
Make tassels on the corners of your garments with a blue cord on each tassel. So you will remember all the commands of the Lord, that you may obey them.
The seriousness of sabbath-breaking. It was not just the man's disobedience but his arrogance which put him outside the community of God's covenant people.
Why?
Not intentionally sin could be atonement through burnt offering.
The border of tassels is to remind forgetful Israel of God and his commands.
Blue cord on each tassel reminds them remember obey the commands that the Lord says to them.
How?
What can let me remember to obey the commands of the Lord, reading His word everyday and pray to the Lord, let the Holy Spirit help me walk out in my daily life.
Specific matter can remind us to do something, but it could not be a custom or just a symbol even becomes an idol in our daily life.

Willing offering be same between Isrealite and Alien

Numbers 15:1-21
After you enter the land I am giving you as a home and you present to the Lord offerings made by fire, from the herd or the flock, as an aroma then the one who bring his offering shall present to the Lord a grain offering of a teth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a quataer of a hin of oil .
Lamb for the burnt offering, a quater of a hin of wine as drink offering.
Ram : a grain offering of two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a third of a hin of oil and a third of a hin of wine as a drink offering.
Young bull as burnt offering, shall bring with the bill a grain offering of three-tenths of a ephah of fine flour mixed with half a hin of oil. Bring half a hin of wine as a drink offering.
You and alien shall be the same before the Lord; The same laws and regulations will apply both to you and to the alien lving among you.
Throughout the generations to come you are to give this offering to the Lord from the first of your ground meal.
Offering to be made after the conquest of Canaan.
Why?
The instructions that follow are for 'when you enter the land'. It may be delayed, but it will surely happen!
Offer burnt offering with different kind of animal should offer correspondent grand offering. It depends on his position and capability of the offering.
Before Isrealite enter the promised land they had not any ground meal can offer.
A ephan = 20 liters, a hin = 4 liters. So the grand offering is large volume, it means the prosperity of groud product of Canaan will be. If you have more than offer more offering to the Lord. All of those gain are blessed from the Lord.
Israelite and Alien has the same rule, they have same regulation for offerning is his own willing so as the blessing are same from the Lord.
Why?
Give the the Lord is depends on our capability and position, is is a willing offering with joy and thanks giving to the Lord. For He is worthy of praise, worthy of the glory and worthy of the worship.

Lession of Obey

Numbers 14:26-45
Forty years - one year for each of the torty days you explore the land- you will suffer for your sins and know what it is like to have me against you.
Everyone twenty years old or more who was counted in the census and who has grumbled agint the Lord will fall in this desert, except Caleb and Joshua.
Moses said, "Why are you disobeying the Lord's command? DO not go up, because the Lord is not with you."
Why?
People listened the word of God in their enthusiasm. Serve the Lord should be with all our heart, all of mind and all of strength.
Now his plea involves him in sharing their sentene with them. Instead of going north in Canaan God commands them to go east to Aqaba. But it takes a crushing defeat to mae the people take notice.
How?
Obey the Lord is following his word without complain and enjoy to do it, for He is with us and do not afraid.

Good servant: he has a different spirit and follows God wholeheartedly

Numbers 14:1-25
Joshua & Caleb                                         The people of the community
If the Lord is pleased with us, he will lead   Why the Lord bringing us to this land
us into that land                                         only to let us fall by the sword?
Their protection is gone, but the Lord is       Our wives and children will be taken
with us. Do not be afraid of them.                as plunder. We should choose a                                                                         leader and go back to Egypt.
How long will these people treat me with contempt? How long will they refuse to believe me, in spite of all the miraculous signs I have performed among them?
The Lord is slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation.
The Lord forgiven them the sin, but the punishment is come upon these people. Not one of the men who saw my glory and the miraculous signs I performed in Egypt and in the desert will ever see the land I promised on oath to their forefathers.
Caleb has a different spirit and follows God wholeheartedly. He will get into the land he went to.
Within sight of the goal, a whole generation cut itself off from all that was promised.
Why?
Fear and horrible information has power of infection among people when they have not faith and acknowledge.
Moses's prayers at this point is staggering. Only God's intervention has saved him from death by stoning. Moses pleading for the life of the stubborn nation that cause him nothing but trouble.
Time and time again Moses stands between Israel and utter destruction.
Good servant of the Lord has a different spirit and follows God wholeheartedly. Different spirit is honest and despite of circumstances, his heart is always focus on the Lord.
Good servant as Moses stand between his people and utter destruction.
How?
O Lord, please give me the heart and faith to be a good servant in present of you. I know this is a difficult way, if the Lord is please with me I can do it.

Do our part and the Lord does others we lacked

Numbers 13:1-33
Twelve leaders from each tribe sent to explore the land of Canaan which the Lord is giving to the Israelites.
At end of forty days they returned from exploring the land and carried a branch bearing a single cluster of grapes. Two of them carried it on a pole between them, along with some pomegranates and figs.
They reported to Moses and Aaron and to the whole assembly, the land does flow with milk and honey, but the people who live there are powerful, and the cities are fortified and very large.
Caleb said, We could go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.
But the men who had gone up with him said,' We can't attack those people; they are stronger than we are, we seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we liked the same to them.
Why?
These 12 leaders agreed that Canaan is very good land as God promised.
But 10 of them saw the people and their cities, they lose the courage, they do not have faith to go forward for the afraid their enemy.
Caleb had faith and believe they could take possession of the land.
The Lord has promised will certainly be truth.
Do we see the promise of the Lord or the difficulty of the world. We understand the problems and difficulty of the promised land, but don't forget that the God is powerful over all of these.
From Deuteronomy 1:19-25 it seems plain that Moses intended to go straight on into the promised land at this point: it was the people's suggestion that they should send spies ahead.
Two man of faith put the true interpretation on the facts, but the people listened to the ten prophets of doom厄運 with their tales of giants and grasshoppers.
Within sight of the goal,a whole generation cut itself off goal that was promised.
How?
No matter do know or don't know the situation of the goal, faithful perspective is more important, for the Lord is with us. Do our part and the Lord will do others we lacked.

Faithful in all God's house, the Moses

Numbers 12:1-16
Miriam and Aaron began against Moses, they asked 'Has the Lord spoken ny thourgh Moses? Hasn't he also spoken through us? They challenged the position of Moses before the Lord. The Lord were dealing with these matter.
The Lord said to them, Moses is his servant, he is faithful in all God's house, the Lord speak to Moses face to face, do not like prophet reveal to them in vision or speak to them in dreams.
After the Lord spoke to them, Miriam - leprous, like snow. Aaron trun to Moses,'Please , my lord,  do not hold against us the sin we have so foolishly committed.' and asked restore Miriam skin, so Moses asked the Lord to heal her.
Why?
There is quarrel among God's servants , the Lord will deals and judge it right away. So quarrel among church should be processed right away in God's way.
Sinner will be punished and be healed through grace of the Lord when he repented and confessed his sins.
The real bone contection is not Moses's wife but his position.
As Misiam is the one to be punished, presumably she was the instigator始作俑者. Moses is silent, but God's answer is a remarkable tribute to the man.
Aaron confess his sin and he was priest so he did not be published, Miriam was a pophet was respected among Israelite, she againsted Moses as insulted her father so she had to stay outside camp seven days until clean.
How?
Respect the servant of the Lord for they are chosen by the Lord and serve the Lord, if they has anything wrong the Lord will judge them, we have not the right to creticize them or judge them.
Am I faithful in God's house?

The attitude of my action before the Lord and men

Numbers 11:24-35
When the Spirit rested on them, they prophesied, but they did not do so again.
Two men, whose names were listed amon the elders, but did not go out to the tend, yet the Spirit also rested on them and they prophesied in the camp. The Spirit has the power over the space.
Moses wishes that all the Lord's people were prophets and that the Lord would put his Spirit on them.
The Lord struck them with a sever plague, because they buries the people who had craved other food.
10 Homers: a donkey load, thousand kilogrammers, is the measure of their gluttony.
Why?
Moses displays a remarkable attitude in a leader - power without a streak of corruption.
When the Sprit rested on one who will shows the sign of Spirit such as prophesy or others.
Not only the sign of Spirit but more important is the attitude of a leader with power  but without steak of corruption.
How?
I wish the Holy Spirit may rest on me, but more important is the attitude of my action before the Lord and men.

Is the Lord's arm too short?

Numbers 11:1-23
Taberah: Fire from the Lord had burned among them.
The rabble with them began to crave other food, and again the Israelites started wailing. They complained no meat to eat, they never see anything but this mannal! They remembered the food they are in Egypt.
The Lord became exceeding angry and Moses was troubled.
Moses asked the Lord, Why have you brought this trouble on your servant? What have I done to displease you that you put the burden of all these people on me? It is heavy burden to carry these people.
The Lord answer Moses, bring seventy of Israel's elders who are known to you as leaders and officials among the people. The Spirit will put on them and Moses. They will help Moese carry the burden of the people so that he will not have to carry it alone.
The Lord reply Mosea and asks him say to the people:"Consecrate yourselves in preparation fro tomorrow, when you will eat meat. You will not eat it for just one day, or two days, but for a whole month-- until it comes out of your nostrils and you oathe it--but because you have rejected the Lord, who is among you, and have wailed before him.
Moses wondered how can provide so much meat for six hundred thousand men on foot.
Is the Lord's arm too short? You will now see whether or not what I say will come true for you.
Why?
Manna was like wafers made with honey. If only.. God gives them what they want, till they are sick of it! And with the surfeit comes judgment for the attitude which lay behind the outcry.
Does God recognize the exhaustion behind Moes' own complaint? His response is to give a supporting leadership of 70 some of the 'spirit' given to Moses. The effet of this is dramatic. Saul experiences something sililar ater his anointing.
Moses chose 70 leader who are known to him in leader and official, that Moese understand their capability.
Rabble 烏合之眾 is always existing among congreation for they lack faith to the Lord, Only work with the Lord, under the power of the Lord can pause their crave heart.
Is the Lord's arm too short? No, the Lord is mighty God who can do anything, nothing is too hard to Him.
How?
My God is all mighty God. To do the work of many people in church need some helper, a company of people with same vision can make more efficient mission. Focus on the Lord, He is my hope only.

Singals to move and blessing of the Lord

Numbers 10:1-36
The Lord asked Moses make two trumpets of hammered silver , an use them for calling the community together. Both are sound: whole community is to assemble before Moses. One is sounded, the leaders are assemble before Moses. A trumpet blast is sounded, the tribes camping on the east are to set out. Second sounding of trumpet blast the tribes camping on the south are to set out.
The sons of Aaron are to blow the trumpets.
The divisions of the camp of Judah went first, then Issachar, Zebulun, [Gershonites and Merarites have taken down tabernacle], Reuben, Simeon, Gad,   [Kohathites carrying the holy things],Ephraim,Manasseh, Benjamin, Dan, Asher and Naphtalie.
Whenever the ark set out, Moses said, "Raise up, O Lord! May your enemies be scattered; may your foes flee before you."
Whenever it came to rest, he said, "Return, O Lord! to the countless thousands of Israel."
Why?
There needs a signal to lead so numerous group to set out in desert. We need the sign from the Lord to lead church in this generation. The priest, the pastor or elder, should transfer the signal of the Lord to his people.
When the Israelite move on, Moses declare the blessing from the Lord, let people peace to set out.
A leader of church should blesses his church under the protection of the Lord.
Signal to move are cloud by day and fire by night covering the Tent at the centre of their camp marked God's presence in their midst.
Two special silver trumpets sounded the alarm, summoned the assemble, and announced the feasts and new months.
About three weeks after the census they strike camp and leave Mt Sinai, in the order described in chapter 2. Moses 'borther-in-law goes with them as guide.
How?
Under God's leading whole community are run in order with signals of cloud and fire and sounding of silver trumpets. May the signal of the Lord show me the way forward. Raise up, O Lord! May your enemies be scatter before you and leads my way keep going.

Don't compel to serve the Lord

Number 9:1-23
On the 14th day of first month a year at twilight, the Lord asked Israelite to celebrate passover at the appointed time. If someone were ceremonially unclean on account of a dead body or were away on a journey, they are to celebrate it on the 14th day of the second month at twilight.
An alien living among them who wants to celebrate the Lord's passover must do so in accordance with its rules and regulation. You must have the same regulations for the alien and the native-born.
The cloud stayed above the Tabernacle for two days or a month or a year the Israelites must remain in camp and not set out; Sometimes the cloud lifted in the morning, they set out, Whether by day or by night. They obeyed Lord's order, in accordance with his command through Moses.
Why?
Everyone has the opportunity to celebrate Passover, the redeemer provides same opportunity to everyone in the world if you like to accept this gospel.
The Lord may asks his people wait for his work two days or a month or a year, we need more patient to wait for the Lord, don't like Saul had not kept the command the Lord gave him. He felt compelled to offer the burnt offering. Don't compelled to do anything.
No one may opt out of celebrating the Passover. But the absentee and anyone ritually unclean at the time may observe the feast one month later.
1 Corinthians 5:7 describes Christ as 'our Passover lamb'.
How?
Do not give up any opportunity to preach gospel to others, for everyone has opportunity to listen God's good news.
Don't compel to serve the Lord, serve the Lord is delight service and joyful.

Lay thier hands on them

Numbers 8:1-26
Every firstborn male in Israel, wherther man or animal, is mine. One tenth of all congregation in church should serve the Lord as Levites.
Isarelite are to lay thier hands on them. Aaron is to present the Levites before the Lord as a wave offering from the Israelite.  Levites lay their hands on the heads of the bulls, use the one for a sin offering to the Lord and the other for a burnt offering, to make attonement for the Levites. Have the Lebites stand in fromt of Aaron and his sons and then present them as a wave offering to the Lord.
When Levites is at the age of fifty or more, they must retire from thier regular service and work no linger. They may assist their brothers in performing their duties at the Tent of Meeting, but they themsleves must not do the work.
Why?
Those who serve God must be clean through and through. Washing and shaveing ensure outward cleanliness. THe blood of sacrifice cleans the inward stain of sin.
Servant of the Lord must repent and confesses his sin and repent before the Lord, purify his inner heart and outer clothes and wash their body.
If the daily prayer of a church has at least one tenth will be the basic requirement.
How?
Minister and pastor and elder are the Levites of the Lord in this generation, New Testament. Be ware of what my obligation is and do it with all my heart, my strength and my mind.

Priority of our offering to the Lord

Numbers 7:84:89
Twelve tribes offering are burnt offering :12 young bulls, rams and lambs, grain offering, sin offering- male goats. fellowship offering : 24 oxen, 60 rams, 60 goats and 60 male lambs.
The Lord speaks to Moses from between the two cherubim above the atonement cover on the ark of the Testimony.
Why?
The dedication of the altar preceded the events of Numbers 1 by a month. Each day for 12 days a leader of one of the tribes bring a silver place and silver basin filled with a cereal offering, a golden dish of incense, and animals for burnt-offering, sin-offering and peace-offering.
Fellowship offering is allowed offer animal general requirement(male or femail) than burnt and sin offering
How?
Burnt offering is belong to the Lord, related to the Holy thing, sin offering is for our sin erase so it is second important matter. The Lord always should be the first priority in out life.

Shoulder of the servants

Numbers 7:1-86
Kohathites were to carry on their shoulder so Moses did not give any of the carts and oxen to them.
Tribe of Judah was the first on to bring offering on the first day for the dedication of the altar. The twelfth tribe is Naphtali.
Total twelve days, each tribe bring same offering to the altar. It includes silver plate, silver wrinkling bowl, filled with finest flout mixed with olive oil as grain offering. One gold dish filled with incense, one ram and one male lamb, two oxen, five rams, five male goats and five male lambs a year old.
Why?
The articles in Holy Place have to be carried by shoulder of man.
The first born son has the highest family position, he is the leader in his house. Jesus is the first fruit in the history of humans resurrection.  Jesus Christ is the corner stone of the Church.
Do we have the should to bear the mission which God commanded us? To honor His name and to be a good witness in our life. This is a mission of our whole life since I know the Lord.
How?
Do not afraid the trouble or burden for the Lord is working with me, I have carry those burden by my shoulder. When I working with the Lord, this burden is light.

The Nazirite and The Priestly Blessing

Numbers 6:1-27
To be the Nazirite, he must abstain from wine and other germented drink and must no drink vinegar made from wine or from other fermented drink.
During the entire period of his vow of separation no razor may be used on his head. He must be holy until the period of his separation to the Lord is over.
Incently defiling the hair he has sin and have to reset the days count. The previous ays do not count.
When the period of his separation is over, he have to present burnt offering, felloship offering to the Lord.
His hair must be shaved off and put it in the fore that is under the sacrifice of the fellowship offering.
The Priestly Blessing: The Lord bless you and keep you, the Lord make his face shine upon you; the Lord turn his face toweard you and give you peace願耶和華賜福給你,保護你。願耶和華使他的臉光照你,賜恩給你。願耶和華向你仰臉,賜你平安。
Why?
A special vow gives the Nazirite his or her spiritual status. The ourward marks of consecration to God are: 1)no wine or strong drink 2)uncut hair 3) special care to avoid defilement through contact with a dead body.
The vow was usually for a limited time but Samuel  had lifeling vow.
The peace is the gift of the Lord.
Even we are not be the Nazirite, but as a Christian all we have are the mercy and grace from the Lord. I would like to devote all I have to the Lord, because God loves me just as I am.
How?
May the Lord belss me and keep me, the Lord make his face shine on me, the Lord turn his face toward me and give me peace. How great you are, O Lord!
