The numbers are slightly fewer than in the first census.
Why?
The reason for the census, this time, was so that the land could be shared out fairly, according to the size of the different groups.
The Lord don't like king to count his army, but make census is good to them to share the land in promise land, subdue the argument in the future.
Shepherd people should not care how much you are taking care, but when the environment is getting better the number of lamb, person, will increase for the giving of the Lord.
The number of each tribe let us know which tribes were against God much more.
How?
The Lord has wonderful plan in his hands, has authority across the time. Number of Shepherd is under the hands of the Lord.
