Respect the covenant

Ezekiel 17:1-24
Two eagles and a vine: First eagle is Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, who took King Jehoiachin captive. The seed he plants is Zedekiah. But Zedekiah soon turned to Egypt, bring the Babylonians back to destroy Jerusalem.
In 587, within three or four years, the prediction of 17-21 came true. But God will take a 'cutting' from the line of Israel's king(the cedar) which will take root.
They despised the oath by breaking the covenant. House of Jerusalem will die in  Babylon.
King of Judah despised God's oath and broke his covenant. God will bring down on his head their oath.
The Lord bring down the tall tree and make the low tree grow tall. He dry up the green tree and make the dry tree flourish.
Why?
Verse 8 It seems best to take this as stressing the act that Zedekiah was well off under Nebuchadnezzar.
Zedekiah make a treaty with king of Babylon, but he broke the covenant. So as Israelite broke the oath with the Lord by breaking the covenant with God.
The Lord make a nation grown up and make a kingdom lower and broken.
We have a few covenant in life. There are Baptise and Marriage basically.
How?
When I am a Christian I have the covenant with the Lord, He is my father, I am his son, his lamb on his pasture. I have covenant with my wife when I married her. Covenant is not a restriction but is a blessing.
