Ezekiel 25:1-17
Ammonites said "Aha" over God's sanctuary when it was desecrated and over the land of Israel when it was laid waste and over the people of Judah when they went into exile.
Moab and Seir said "Look, the house of Judah has become like all the other nations."
Edom took revenge on the house of Judah and became very guilty by doing so.
Philistines acted in vengeance and took revenge with malice in their hearts, and with ancient hostility sought to destroy Judah.
These four nations were Israel's closest neighbours, and her oldest enemies. All took a vengeful delight in Israel's downfall, for which God will punish them.
Shortly after this, Amman, Moab and Edom were overrun by Nabataean tribesmen.
The Philistines disappeared from history a century before the birth of Jesus.
Why?
Although the prophets concentrated mainly on Israel/Judah, all of them were very conscious that God was Lord of the whole world. There is no nation beyond the reach of his judgment: and what he condemns and punished in his own people, he condemns and punishes in other nations too.
Revenge is the matter of the Lord, don't delight for our enemy's downfall. So as to the wicked men and evil doers. We hate those wicked behavior but love their life to return to God.
How?
Discard the revenge mind. Don't criticize others, do our duty and pray for those wicked men and week brothers and sisters.
