Ezekiel 27:1-36
Tyre traded with many nations for their wares.
The Lord says: 'O Tyre, You say "I am perfect in beauty." Your domain was on the high sea; your builders brought your beauty to perfection."
The ships of Tarshish serve as carriers for your wares. You are filled with heavy cargo in the heart of the sea. But the east wind will break you to pieces i the heart of the sea.
All who handle the oars will abandon their ships; the mariners and all the seamen will stand on the shore. They will take up a lament concerning you: "Who was ever silenced like Tyre, surrounded by the sea?"
Tyre will be no more.
High sea: Your borders are in the heart of the seas.
For your wares: to trade with you. It is a vessel of trade.
Why?
Ezekiel fittingly pictures the city as a great trading vessel laden with the choicest of cargoes, and commanding human skills and resources from far and wide.
No matter how wealth and prefect, the pride leads them to silent and be no more.
Do the best to trade like a vessle of trade, Tyre had lost the life's purpose of the Lord, they lived for trade only.
How?
Earn the whold world but lose his life, there will be no more. The purpose of life is knowing the Lord and worship God, honor the Lord.
