Faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love

1 Cor 13:1-13
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails. Prophesies, tongues, knowledge,  it will pass away.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
Three qualities of life - faith, hope, love - will outlive all the gifts. And these are for everyone. Without them no one is anything. And Christian love outshines all. This is the best way  of all: this is what Christians should really set their hearts on.
Why?
Paul bursts into a great hymn on the theme, one of the most glorious passages in the whole Bible. And he consciously or unconsciously draws us a portrait of a person - Jesus himself, He is the living embodiment of this outgoing, long-suffering, self-giving, self-effecting love. Without it - without him - there would be no church.
Love is the symbol to a Christian. without love even there are many gifts, it become nothing.
Yes, everything will pass away but love can endure forever.
How?
To be a real Christian have to discard something and keep something. We can't get both benefits. Love never fails.
