1 Cor 12: 1-13
There are different kings of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different kings of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men.
Now to each one the manifestation(表現) of the Spirit is given for the common good. The Spirit gives them to each, just as he determines.
The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body.
We were all given the one Spirit to drink.
In contemporary religions, trances or strange, ecstatic speech showed a person's spiritual status, It was therefore not surprising that the Christian church at Corinth, to whom God gave a variety of gifts by his Holy Spirit, should have been especially taken up with the more spectacular ones, among which was the ability to speak in unknown 'tongues'.
Why?
Holy Spirit let us know the Lord and Jesus Christ is our God. Holy Spirit lead us to read word of the Lord.
There are many gifts among Christians, but there are given for common good. So do not proud to have any gifts, but uses gifts to build the church and the life of Christian.
The Spirit give them to each, just as he determines, so we are the acceptors.
How?
Dear Lord, please let me using the gifts you gave to build the church and doing good to others.
