Be blameless and holy in the presence of our God

1 Thessalonians 3:1-13
So when we could stand it no longer, we thought it best to be left by ourselves in Athens. We sent Timothy, who is our brother and co-worker in God’s service in spreading the gospel of Christ, to strengthen and encourage you in your faith.
I was afraid that in some way the tempter had tempted you and that our labors might have been in vain.
But Timothy has just now come to us from you and has brought good news about your faith and love.
For now we really live, since you are standing firm in the Lord.
May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones.
Paul's happiness - his life, even - depends on their continuance and progress in the faith. So he longs to see them and hear from them.
He is even prepared to face Athens alone, rather than do without news. So Timothy's welcome report brings the apostle an influx of joy, a new lease of life. His one though now is to see them again.
We told you beforehand: 1 st century Christians were taught from the outset to expect trouble and suffering.
Why?
Paul cared and love the brothers in Thessalonians. Even he was busy and face trouble in Athens.
Timothy is a good brother and co-worker in God's service, it is our nice example to imitate.
The tempter had temped us everywhere and anytime, rely on the Lord we may conquer it and live out lives of the Lord.
Most important is the faith and love to a Christian.
How?
What I have to do is be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father.
