Hoses 6:1-10
Let us acknowledge the Lord; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth. ” “What can I do with you, Ephraim? What can I do with you, Judah? Your love is like the morning mist, like the early dew that disappears.
For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings.
I have seen a horrible thing in Israel: There Ephraim is given to prostitution, Israel is defiled.

Verses 4-6 express God's loving perplexity about his people. Jesus picks up the important statement that God wants his people's love, not placatory sacrifices,in Matthew 9:13
Priests have turned butcher. At the heart of the nation's religion,at Shechem ,there is intrigue and murder.
Why?
Acknowledge the Lord, with desire and consistent heart. Don't like mist or early dew. Disappear soon.
God knows our heart, don't cheat our own or have any excuse.
How?
Love God with all my heart and let us press to on aknowledge God.
