Hosea 9:10-17
When I found Israel, it was like finding grapes in the desert; when I saw your ancestors, it was like seeing the early fruit on the fig tree. But when they came to Baal Peor, they consecrated themselves to that shameful idol and became as vile(惡劣) as the thing they loved.
Ephraim’s glory will fly away like a bird—no birth, no pregnancy, no conception.
Because of all their wickedness in Gilgal, I hated them there. Because of their sinful deeds, I will drive them out of my house.
My God will reject them because they have not obeyed him; they will be wanderers among the nations.
Sin has become habitual, ingrained(根深蒂固), to the point where God finally withdraws his love.
Having wandered from God they will become wanderers among the nations.
David Jubbard makes the sad point that 'from the time of Hosea's threat until the present the vast majority of Israel's sons and daughters have listed Dispersion as their address.
Why?
God will not reject anyone without reason, God love men but hates those who came to Baal or idols.
Man has to face consequence of his deeds. Obey God's word or wander from God.
How?
Glory be to the Lord for his love endure forever. Turn to the Lord, the grace and peace are in Him.
