Isaiah 18L1-7
Go, swift messengers, to a people tall and smooth-skinned, to a people feared far and wide, an aggressive nation of strange speech, whose land is divided by rivers.
This is what the Lord says to me: “I will remain quiet and will look on from my dwelling place, like shimmering heat in the sunshine, like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.”
He will cut off the shoots with pruning knives, and cut down and take away the spreading branches. They will all be left to the mountain birds of prey and to the wild animals; the birds will feed on them all summer, the wild animals all winter - At that time gifts will be brought to the Lord Almighty
This is modern Sudan. In Isaiah's day Egypt was ruled by a Sudanese dynasty. The Assyrian threat brings envoys from afar. But God will deal with the invader on the very eve(前夕) of victory. And the far-off nation will send gifts in grateful homage to God.
Why?
The people of African are people tall and smooth-skinned, who were feared far and wide.
God is quiet and looks on from his dwelling, watching people is doing on the world.
God is exists like hear in the sunshine, not so hot but you can feel of comfort, like cloud of dew in the heat of harvest, let us feel comfort and calm down our heart. God is quiet but we know that he is there.
God take care every living one on the world, even the birds and animals.
At that time God will be honored and gifts will be brought to the Lord Almighty.
How?
God is my shelter and my savior. He is here like shimmering heat in the sunshine, like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.
