Isaiah 5:1-7
Sing for the one I love a song about his vineyard: My loved one had a vineyard on a fertile hillside.
What more could have been done for my vineyard than I have done for it? When I looked for good grapes, why did it yield only bad?
The vineyard of the Lord Almighty is the nation of Israel, and the people of Judah are the vines of Judah are the vines he delighted in. And he looked for justice, but saw bloodshed for righteousness, but heard cries of distress.
The song like Jesus' vineyard story is a parable. The Jewish nation is the vineyard of God. He has done everything necessary to ensure a heavy yield. But the vintage is bitter. 'Woe betide'(臨頭)
Why?
Vineyard is good parable to Israel for they are familiar with it.
God planted them, but when he looked for grapes, there are bad grapes. What the host will do? Destroy his vineyard and waste it.
It is the way to those who doing wicked and oppress needed people. God's judgment will come upon them.
How?
Imitate the heart and feeling of the Lord when we do anything everything. Does it delight to the Lord?
