You who are far away, hear what I have done; you who are near, acknowledge my power!

Isaiah 33:1-24

Woe to you, destroyer,  you who have not been destroyed! Woe to you, betrayer, you who have not been betrayed! When you stop destroying, you will be destroyed; when you stop betraying, you will be betrayed.

Lord, be gracious to us; we long for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress.

You conceive chaff, you give birth to straw; your breath is a fire that consumes you.

The Lord is exalted, for he dwells on high; he will fill Zion with his justice and righteousness. He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure.

You who are far away, hear what I have done; you who are near, acknowledge my power!

Your eyes will see the king in his beauty and view a land that stretches afar. In your thoughts you will ponder the former terror: “Where is that chief officer? Where is the one who took the revenue? Where is the officer in charge of the towers?” You will see those arrogant people no more, people whose speech is obscure, whose language is strange and incomprehensible.

For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; it is he who will save us.

Why?

The destroyer, betrayer will be destroyed and betrayed by his deed. For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawiver. The Lord is our king; it is he who will save us.

So I won't fear, I must obey the word of the Lord keep my heart with the Lord and love others around me.

v1-6 亞述行惡會自食惡果。2節詩人的禱告。3：戰利品最後被強奪一空，

7-12 猶大求和的人白做工，因為亞述完全不理。利巴嫩；沙崙；巴珊和迦密：都是生長茂盛的地方，都是被亞述摧毀掉。但是神要興起，為他的百姓伸冤。亞述只是空歡喜一場。

13-24 你們遠方的人當聽我所行的；你們近處的人當承認我的大能。這是神的百姓要做的事。耶路撒冷不會再被攻打。敵人不再成為威脅。瘸腿的把掠物奪去了： 連瘸腿的也拿到戰利品，表示戰利品甚多。
