Loving the world leads to danger

Genesis14:1-12
Four kings defeated five kings army. They also carried off Abram's nephew Lot and his possessions, since he was living in Sodom.
In Abrams day, although a semi-nomadic游牧 existence was common, there was also settled life in villages and walled 'cities'. These were ruled over by local 'sheiks', who in turn were often vassals附庸 of more powerful kings.
The overlords of the five Dead sea towns came from distant Elam and Babylonia, and from Anotolia. Trade-route made travel and communication between the land of Abram's birth and Canaan relatively easy.(The Elamites had considerable power in Babylonia. Ur was one of the cities they conquered and sacked at this time.)
Amorites: Abram's allies belonged to a tribe sharing the land with the Canaanites. They had good reason to support Abram, since their own people had been victims of the attack. Speed of pursuit and a surprise attack give Abram victory.
Why?
Lot original lived in the field with water, but he moved to the city where is more prosper and live easier.
How?
Loving the world leads to danger of the world.
