Luke 18:1-14
We should always pray and not give up. Even a judge who neither feared God nor cared bout men. He will see the widow gets justice, so that she won't eventually wear he out with her coming! So God being about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night.
The parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector.
Everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.
God is not like the unjust judge. If this woman can persist with her plea, winning justice against such odds, how much more confident of a hearing and of justice can God's chosen ones' be. They need to pray and not lose heart, even if the answer is delayed.
The Pharisee 'pray' simply to congratulate himself on being better than others, and to rehearse his good deeds. It is the tax collector - the one who finds nothing in himself to be proud of - whom God hears.
Why?
God will listen to his chosen one pray, even it is delayed we need to pray and not lost heart.
Only confess our sins and turn to the Lord that the mercy and grace will come upon us. Humble myself will be exalted by the Lord.
Pharisee has good behavior but they proud with their behavior and ignored their sins in their heart, there is no one righteousness, so they won't be accepted by Jesus.
How?
Don't proud but humble myself for I am a sinner but have grace from the Lord!
