Rich man and Lazarus

Luke 16:14-31
The rich man and Lazarus.
The rich man in hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side.
Remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony.
If they do not listen to Moses and the prophet, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.
The story of the rich man and Lazarus(the only ‘named’ character in Jesus’ stories is special to Like. Jesus may have taken a popular folk tale, using it in his own way. The scenes are vividly pictured; a rich man with everything, a poor man with nothing. Yet Lazarus goes to bless, his head resting against the great ‘father Abraham’ at the heavenly feast. Justice has been done and there is no changing it. In response to the rich man’s plea. Abraham tells him that if the words of scripture do not persuade his brothers to repent, neither will a man coming back from the dead.
Those words are bound to make Luke’s readers think of Jesus’ own resurrection.
Why?
Look on the future in heaven, it is a eternal destination, compare the life time on earth is short period.
We saw the situation right now does not means always be good, environment will changing. Only God’s word won’t change and stand firm.
God’s word is good and careful to listen and obey will be a blessing.
Hard necks are useless to listen to God’s word, pursues the money is one kind of sin against the Lord.
How?
Praise the Lord and remind myself that blessing is on who follow the word of God.
