Luke 20:1-26
The authority of Jesus questioned. John's baptism - was it from heaven, or from men?
The parable of the tenants:
The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone. What is the meaning of this is written.
Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces, but he on whom it falls will be crushed.
The teachers of the law and the chief priests looked for a way to arrest him immediately. But they were afraid of the people.
Is it right for us to pay taxes to Caesar or not? Jesus saw through their duplicity and said to them, "Show me a denarius. Whose portrait and inscription are on it? "Caesar's', they replied. "Then give to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's."
Why?
People followed and respected John, so when Jesus asked them, they afraid to say the truth. For they afraid the people. And Jesus' authority is from heaven.
Jesus is the capstone, based on him will build church, honor name of the Lord.
Give to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's. The tenth, the glory and honor are God's.
Selfish mind will obscure our heart and turn away from God, so keep our heart clean is very important.
How?
Please give me a faith and pure heart to follow Jesus!
