The Lord turned and looked straight at Peter

Luke 22:47-62
He approached Jesus to kiss him, but Jesus asked him, Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?
Am I leading a rebellion, that you have come with swords and clubs? Every day I was with you in the temple courts, and you did not lay a hand on me. But this is your hour—when darkness reigns.”
The Lord turned and looked straight at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word the Lord had spoken to him: Before the rooster crows today, you will disown me three times. And he went outside and wept bitterly.
Peter is brave enough to keep within sight of Jesus as he is led away. But with nothing do do but wait, courage oozes away and dear takes control. Three times Peter says what he swore he would never say. Even his leading disciple denies Jesus. But one look from him is enough to break the big fisherman's heart.
Why?
Judas really became an evil man, he trapped by his own mind. Follow Jesus doesn't mean agree with Jesus and love Jesus.

Darkness reigns, time and events are under control of the Lord, so God permitted this for God's purpose for God loves us and gave his son to us.
Peter's weakness was happened and same as Jesus predicted before. When Jesus looked straight at Peter, Peter sensed that Jesus knew all of this, Peter confessed his weakness and his flesh can do nothing.
Jesus looked straight Peter, means Peter you will know what I said. But I have forgiven you.
How?
Humble myself, and focus on Jesus, God's grace and love are full filled with me and satisfaction.  Not rely on my strength but rely on God's mercy and power!
