Acts 20:1-16
He traveled through that area, speaking many words of encouragement to the people, and finally arrived in Greece, where he stayed three months.
But we sailed from Philippi after the Festival of Unleavened Bread, and five days later joined the others at Troas, where we stayed seven days.
On the first day of the week we came together to break bread. Paul spoke to the people and, because he intended to leave the next day, kept on talking until midnight. Seated in a window was a young man named Eutychus, who was sinking into a deep sleep as Paul talked on and on. When he was sound asleep, he fell to the ground from the third story and was picked up dead.
Paul went down, threw himself on the young man and put his arms around him. “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “He’s alive!”
Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus to avoid spending time in the province of Asia, for he was in a hurry to reach Jerusalem, if possible, by the day of Pentecost.
2 Corinthians fills in some of the details on Paul's return to Greece, so briefly covered in 20:1-6.
The apostle is preoccupied with collection for the poverty-stricken Christian in Jerusalem. His mission to the Gentiles has been much criticized by the Jews. This is his great gesture - a practical expression of the unity of Jew and Gentile in the church of Christ. It is supremely important to him - hence his determination to get to Jerusalem.
Before he left Ephesus. Paul wrote 1 Corinthians. From Macedonia he wrote 2 Corinthians. From Corinth he wrote the letter to the Romans. It is likely he also visited present-day Albania and Yugoslavia at this time.
Why?
Paul traveled many places for he was caring the Christians in these a few churches. Love them and teaching them with all he can.
Eutychus Raised From the Dead at Troas is another miracle to people in Troas. Encourage people there.
Paul was hurry to preach gospel to the people in his journey.
How?
How can I stay and speak nothing, but preach the word of God to whom I met and do a good witness to people around me everyday.
