John 13:12-20
Jesus asked them,"Do you understand what I have done for you? "I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you."
No servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.
Psalm 41:9 He who shares my bread has lifted up his heel against me.
Whoever accepts anyone I send accepts me; and whoever accepts me accepts the one who sent me.
The Master is willingly makes himself their slave. Here is the role-model for his followers.
Why?
Jesus washed disciples feet set an example for them, his followers should serve others among them. This is a command that his follower should obey, because we all are his servants.
A master serves his servant doesn't harm his dignity.
No one understand but also we should do it.
Christian should invite guest especially accept the missionary who is sent by Jesus. If you accept Jesus we should accept them.
How?
Do not insist my own dignity, when I serve others doesn't decrease my dignity. It is the command of the Lord. Loving needs the action, what is my action?
