John 11:1-16
Lazarus was sick and was going to die, his sister Mary, was the same one who poured perfume on the Lord and wiped his feet with her hair.
Jesus heard this, said "This sickness will no end in death. No, it is for God's glory so that God's Son may be glorified through it." Jesus stayed where he was two more days
Disciples asked Jesus "A short time ago the Jews tried to stone you, and yet you are going back there?
Jesus answered, "Are there not twelve hours of daylight? A man who walks by day will not stumble, for he sees by this world's light."
Jesus said to his disciples Lazarus has fallen asleep, but his disciples thought he meant natural sleep. When Jesus explained to them, Lazarus is dead. Tomas said "Let us also go, that we may die with him."
The raising of Lazarus is the seventh and last great sign in John's Gospel.
The disciples take Jesus to mean that the illness is not terminal, and try to dissuade him from a dangerous journey.
Why?
Tomas thought there is dangerous in Judea, they go the there could be dead as Lazarus.
The man of Jesus loved will not die but fall asleep, for we will rise again when Jesus come back again.
Believe the spirit will exist in heaven with Jesus forever.
Jesus is the light of the world. When the end of world is coming there is not chance to repent and can't find the truth.
How?
Sometime the illness or trouble come upon us is for God's glory. What I need is the faith and prayer.
