John 13:21-35
It is Jesus the darkest night. He knew who betray him among his disciples.
Jesus gave his disciples a new command: Love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
Jesus said twice," Where I am going, you cannot follow now, but you will follow later." But Jesus had said to Pharisees " Where I go, you cannot come"(John 8:22)
Peter asked Jesus, "Lord why can't follow you now? I will lay down my life for you"
Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, before the rooster crows, you will disown me three time!
Jesus did not forbid Judas go out, even told Judas you may go out to buy what was needed for the Feast, or to give something to the poor.
Why?
Jesus know that his time is come. It is the son of Man glorified in him and God is glorified in him. Jesus knew he is come for this moment.
Pharisees don't believe in Jesus so they could not follow Jesus to the heaven. His followers may follow Jesus later when they journey is end in this world.
Peter is enthusiasm to follow Jesus, but when trial is come he will afraid and can't do as he said. This is the weakness of most in us.
How?
Love one another in Christian, like a family, let others know we are follow Jesus.
