Psalm 131:1-3
My heart is not proud, O Lord, my eyes are not haughty; I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me.
But I have stilled and quieted my soul, like a weaned child is my soul within me.
O Israel , put your hope in the Lord both now and forevermore.
The psalmist has put aside all arrogance and conceit. He is content to rest quietly in the Lord, like a child in its mother's arms. This is one of the Bible's loveliest mother-image of God.
Why?
No ambition to great thing but still and quiet my soul for my hope is in the Lord. Don't think I can make great things so my heart will be not proud, my eyes are not haughty. It is the Lord can do great thing, and under the blessing of the Lord I can do great things.
How?
Humble myself and do not proud in the service works in church! All I have, my talent, my strength, my life is the blessing of the Lord! Be still and quiet my soul!
