2 Chronicles 28:16-27
Ahaz more unfaithful to the Lord. He offered sacrifices to the gods of Damascus, who had defeated him; for he thought, "since the gods of the kings of Aram have helped them, I will sacrifice to them so they will help me." But they were his downfall and the downfall of all Israel.
Why?
Crisis brings some people to deeper faith, but not Ahaz.
Even the invasion from foreigner is permitted from the Lord for he who went away from the Lord. It looks like enemy did evil and gained, but it is a temporary situation, it will be cut off in the near future.
Peace and prosper bring us more alert to the proud.
How?
Crisis bring us more deeper faith instead of worry and seek man's solution.
