Proverbs 17:1-28
The crucible for silver and the furnace for gold, but the Lord tests the heart.
He who mocks the poor shows contempt for their Maker. Have pity on the poor.
Arrogant lips are unsuited to a fool -- how much worse lying lips to a ruler!
A bribe is a charm to the one who gives it; wherever he turns, he succeeds.
He who covers over an offense promotes love, but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends. Treat other with love is essential spirit.
Better a dry crust with peace and quite than a house full of feasting, with strife.
meet a bear robbed of her cubs a fool in his folly
a little with righteousness much gain with injustice
to be lowly in spirit and among share plunder with the proud
the oppressed
a patient man warrior
controls his temper takes a city
If a man pays back evil for good, evil will never leave his house.
Drop the matter before a dispute breaks out.
A cheerful heart is god medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
Cheer heart & hatred/worry heart
A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit.(15:13)
A cheerful look brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones.(15:30)
He who conceals his hatred has lying lips, and whoever spreads slander is a fool. (10:18)
It is not good to punish an innocent man, or to flog鞭打 officials for their integrity.
A man of knowledge uses words with restraint, and a man of understanding is even-tempered.
Why?
Bribe is a charm to the one who gives it, but it doesn't mean welcome to others. Hatred bribes save his life.
Cheer heart is a good medicine, so what I have to worry about? worry about the income tomorrow? worry what is my next job? Trust in the Lord.
Comparison better things remind me that good wealth does not mean have good life, first seek the peace and love are more better.
How?
Let me be a cheerful man. To be a happy Christian, everyday is happy day to me. Enjoy life for God has given me.
