Lift up holy hands in prayer

1 Timothy 2:1-15
First of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone.
God who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men.
Men: everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing.
Woman: dress modestly, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God. A women should learn in quietness and full submission.
Paul would never have made childbirth the means of a woman's salvation. Paul clearly expects that Christian women will marry and have children.
Why?
Prayer is of prime importance. That means prayer for the authorities, if Christians are to lead the kind of peaceable lives which allow them to concentrate on making the Good News known to everyone, as God intends.
In the assembly, the men are to pray without anger or argument. Christian women are to be conduct-conscious, not clothes-mad, and must not lord it over men. The Christian message upgraded the status of women. But God did not intend them to take over.
Men and women are equal in his sight, but their roles are not identical, Paul is not singling(定苗) women out for special censure(譴責)here. He is evenhanded(不偏不倚), correcting abuses in worship, both by grumbling men and usurping(篡奪) and untrained women.
Good teaching to all Christian.
How?
Men and women are equal in his sight, but their roles are not identical. God is love so prayer is most important to Christian. Lift up holy hands in prayer!
