Judges 15:1-8
Samson’s Vengeance on the Philistines
Samson's wife was given to his companion after previous event.
Samson said to them, “This time I have a right to get even with the Philistines; I will really harm them.” So Samson burned up the shocks and standing grain, together with the vineyards and olive groves.
So the Philistines went up and burned his wife and her father to death. Samson said to them, “Since you’ve acted like this, I swear that I won’t stop until I get my revenge on you.” He attacked them viciously and slaughtered many of them.
Three hundred foxes: Jackals(狐狼), who hunt in packs and would be easier to catch in large numbers, are more likely than the solitary fox.
Why?
Samson's was a one-man war.
All these are the revenge to the Philistines by the Lord through Samson.
How?
Vengeance is the right of the Lord, not me.
