Ephesians 2:11-22
Therefore, remember that formerly you who are Gentiles by birth and called “uncircumcised”
But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility.
For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.
Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.
In the ancient world Jews were separated from Gentiles by racial, religious, cultural and social barriers. The Jews were God's chosen people, near to him; the Gentiles were sinful heathens, far off. If Christ could bring these two together, there is no human goes too great for him to bridge. And he did. His death on the cross is the one means of peace with God for all people, without distinction, those who are near and those who are far off.
And all who belong to him have a common bond which is deeper and stronger than any of their former differences - of race or color or status or sex or background. Jew and Gentile are one in Christ, a new people.
Why?
Through him destroyed the barrier, so we may access to the Father by one spirit.
By the blood of Chris, Gentile have the chance to come before the Lord and be build together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his spirit.
God's Spirit is living in me, so I am different man with the seal of God. I was a sinner, but now I am a new man through Him and in Him.
We are all be built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, they gave us the words of God and show the witness of God's grace. Jesus comes as the word of prophets, which is the way of the Lord had arranged.
How?
I am God's creation and in Christ I have a new life and could be a dwelling temple of the Holy Spirit. Praised be to the Lord.
