Daniel 11:36-45
The king will do as he pleases. He will exalt and
magnify himself above every god and will say unheard-of things against
the God of gods. He will be successful until the time of wrath is
completed, for what has been determined must take place. But will exalt himself above them all.
He will extend his power over many countries; Egypt will not escape.
He will pitch his royal tents between the seas at the beautiful holy mountain. Yet he will come to his end, and no one will help him.
Verse 36-45 do not describe actual events at the end of Antiochus's life. They may refer to the end of Syrian domination, at the hands of Rome, the new king from the north. Or they may anticipate events at the end of time, which the sufferings of God's people under Antiochus foreshadow. This the leads in to chapter 12.
Why?
King Antiochus IV like the future image of anti-Christ, persecutes Christians, magnify himself, exalt himself, extend his power over many countries.
But he will come to his end, and no one will help him, for those who supported him are for their own profit, when they see the corruption of the nation, all of them escaped.
Magnify no other name, open up my eyes to you. Oh God, be greater, than the worries in my life; Be stronger, than the weakness in my mind; Be louder, let your Glory come alive!
How?
No matter what happen, trust in the Lord who is the master of the history. Magnify no other name except the Lord.
