The living God and wooden idols

Jeremiah 10:1-25
No one is like you, Lord; you are great, and your name is mighty in power.
What the craftsman and goldsmith have made is them dressed in blue and purple - all made by skilled workers. But the Lord is the true God; he is the living God, the eternal King.
Everyone is senseless and without knowledge; every goldsmith is shamed by his idols.
They are worthless, the objects of mockery; when their judgment comes, they will perish. He who is the Portion of Jacob is not like these, for he is the Maker of all things, the Lord Almighty is his name.
Lord, I know that people's lives are not their own; it is not for them to direct their steps. Discipline me, Lord, but only in due measure - not in your anger, or you will reduce me to nothing.
Idols made by human hands, no matter how elaborate they may be, are lifeless, powerless, motionless, speechless. Not so the God of Israel. It was he, not they, who created earth and sky.
Now this same God is poised to destroy them. Jeremiah can hear the enemy coming, as he prays.
Why?
God's name is Almighty, God is great and wonder, he created everything in his wisdom.
God is the living God, it is not like idols can not speak, hear or speak.
Discipline me, Lord, but only in due measure: God will discipline me for my good and life growing. Training me to learn the knowledge. Don't be a senseless man.
How?
For my Lord is the living God, so fear the Lord and obey his command is the way in my life, knowing his great name is my blessing.
