Job 9:1-24
Indeed, I know that this is true. But how can mere mortals prove their innocence before God?
Though they wished to dispute with him, they could not answer him one time out of a thousand. His wisdom is profound, his power is vast. Who has resisted him and come out unscathed?
He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted. When he passes me, I cannot see him; when he goes by, I cannot perceive him. If he snatches away, who can stop him? Who can say to him, ‘What are you doing?’
Even if I were innocent, my mouth would condemn me; if I were blameless, it would pronounce me guilty
“Although I am blameless, I have no concern for myself; I despise my own life. It is all the same; that is why I say, ‘He destroys both the blameless and the wicked.’
When a land falls into the hands of the wicked, he blindfolds its judges. If it is not he, then who is it?
Job believes, as Bildad does, in the justice of God. But his own case will no square with his belief. God has condemned an innocent man. How can anyone call him to account? Good, bad - it is all one.
Why?
Yes, no one can prove their innocence before God.
People are could not speak with the Lord. God's wisdom beyond us and God don't have let us know what He is doing.
Our mouth is easy to have sinned against the Lord. So even I was innocent I could not say so.
It is the same as all men, our destination is dead.
Even the suffering came, it is the Lord allowed.
The Lord is sovereign Lord, who can dispute with God? No one can do it. But all of these have God's love and his way for all who follow the word of the Lord.

Surely God does not reject one who is blameless
Job 8:1-22
Then Bildad the Shuhite replied: How long will you say such things? Your words are a blustering wind. Does God pervert justice? Does the Almighty pervert what is right?
For we were born only yesterday and know nothing, and our days on earth are but a shadow.
Such is the destiny of all who forget God; so perishes the hope of the godless.
Surely God does not reject one who is blameless or strengthen the hands of evildoers. He will yet fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy. Your enemies will be clothed in shame, and the tents of the wicked will be no more.”
Eliphaz had begun gently. Bildad takes a firmer line as Job's words grow wilder. God is just. He rewards the good and punishes the wicked. Bildad's words are salt to an open wound.
Why?
The Almighty always right, but people do not understand the way of the Lord.
History teaches us many things and justice, but it is not enough to guess the way of the Lord.
It is the truth that God does not reject the one who is blameless.
Bildad's words are salt to an open wound.

Therefore I will not keep silent; I will speak out in the anguish of my sprit
Job 7:1-21
The eye that now sees me will see me no longer; you will look for me, but I will be no more. As c cloud vanishes and is gone, so one who goes down to the grace does not return.
Therefore I will not keep silent; I will speak out in the anguish of my sprit, I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.
Am I the sea, or the monster of the deep, that you put me under guard? When I think my bed will comfort me and my couch will ease my complaint, even then you frighten me with dreams and terrify me with visions.
Will you never look away from me, or let me alone even for an instant?
If I have sinned, what have I done to you, you who see everything we do?
Life is a succession of pain-filled days and sleepless nights.
Job turns to God and pours out his heart to him - his fear, his longin for death. Why won’t God leave him alone? If sin is the trouble, why won’t he forgive?
Why?
If Job is sinned why he wont’ be forgiven? And no one can say what Jon has sinned.
Job is under suffering, he is so pain and lost hope. He hope these friend go away leave him alone. For there visiting increased his hurt and more burden.
Their vision is terrifying and their words are like a sword to Job.

Show me where I have been wrong. How painful are honest words
Job 6:1-30
Oh, that I might have my request, that God would grant what I hope for, that God would be willing to crush me, to let loose his hand and cut off my life! Then I would still have this consolation—my joy in unrelenting pain— that I had not denied the words of the Holy One.
What strength do I have, that I should still hope? What prospects, that I should be patient? Do I have the strength of sone? Is my flesh bronze? Do I have any power to help myself, not what success has been driven from me?
Teach me, and I will be quiet, show me where I have been wrong. How painful are honest words!
How painful are honest words! But what do your arguments prove?
You would even cast lots for the fatherless and barter away your friend.
It is nauseating advice to tell a man at the end of his tether to be patient. Job wants only to cease to be. His friends have failed to show sympathy when he needed it most.
Why?
The job was under the painful situation, his friend has failed to show sympathy, so Job claimed to show me where I have been wrong?
Job under pain so his strength is limited, he is flesh, not a bronze. His friends thought he is unrighteousness so Job asked his friends to show where he was wrong.
----------------

Blessed is the one whom God corrects; so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty
Job 5:1-27
Resentment kills a fool, and envy slays the simple.
Yet man is born to trouble as surely as sparks fly upward.
But if I were you, I would appeal to God; I would lay my cause before him. He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted.
He saves the needy from the sword in their mouth; he saves them from the clutches of the powerful. So the poor have hope, and injustice shuts its mouth.
Blessed is the one whom God corrects; so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty.
Trouble is an inevitable part of life. The best course is to turn to God, accept his reproof, and wait to be restored to favor.
There is much in what Eliphaz says, but his diagnosis happens to be wrong in Job's case.
Why?
Fool man is resentment, and the simple man is envy.
People's life always has trouble when he was born, but God is the sovereign God who saves our life and through the trouble to know the Lord.
Blessed is the one whom God corrects, but this case is wrong in Job's case. Job is righteousness.

No one is blameless before God
Job 4:1-21
Your words have supported those who stumbled; you have strengthened faltering knees. But now trouble comes to you, and you are discouraged; it strikes you, and you are dismayed.
Can a mortal be more righteous than God? Can even a strong man be more pure than his Maker?
Are not the cords of their tent pulled up, so that they die without wisdom?
The three friends now begin the to-and-fro argument which makes up most of the book. Eliphaz has the first turn. Job has often helped others in trouble, he says, now he should be prepared to swallow his own medicine. God destroys the guilty, not the innocent. No one is blameless before him.
Why?
People's word and righteousness are not more than God. All of us are under the Lord.
Our survival is the grace of the Lord.
--------------------

Why? Why? Why?
Job 3:1-26
After this, Job opened his mouth and cursed the day of his birth.
Why did I not perish at birth, and die as I came from the womb? Why were there knees to receive me and breasts that I might be nursed?
Why is light given to those in misery, and life to the bitter of soul, to those who long for death that does not come, who search for it more than for hidden treasure,
For sighing has become my daily food; my groans pour out like water. What I feared has come upon me; what I dreaded has happened to me. I have no peace, no quietness; I have no rest, but only turmoil.”
The seven-day silence is broken by Job in a shout of protest against his misery. He wishes he had never been born and longs to find peace and release in death. Why? Why? Why?
Why?
All of these miseries come upon us are not reason, no cause, even we wish dead may let us release from these suffering.
I like to ask why? no answer. But in the Lord, there is his way for us. Suffering may let us realize the grace of the Lord. It is hard to understand but needs faith in the Lord.

Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?
Job 2:1-13
Satan answered the Lord, “From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.”
“Skin for skin!” Satan replied. “A man will give all he has for his own life. But now stretch out your hand and strike his flesh and bones, and he will surely curse you to your face.”
So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord and afflicted Job with painful sores from the soles of his feet to the crown of his head. Then Job took a piece of broken pottery and scraped himself with it as he sat among the ashes.
His wife said to him, “Are you still maintaining your integrity? Curse God and die!”
He replied, “You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?”
In all this, Job did not sin in what he said.
When Job’s three friends, Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite, heard about all the troubles that had come upon him, they set out from their homes and met together by agreement to go and sympathize with him and comfort him.
Why?
Satan is roaming throughout the earth, so everyone what he has done is known to Satan either.
A man will give all he has for his own life. This is the basic ability for life. But the pain of flesh and spirit sometimes is more hard suffering to a man.
Job's wife criticized Job, but Job still insists he faith to the Lord. This is true faith.
Sympathize and comfort a suffering man the best way is accomplished with him. But without any criticism.

The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised
Job 1:1-22
In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil. He was the greatest man among all the people of the East.
Early in the morning, he would sacrifice a burnt offering for each of them, thinking, “Perhaps my children have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” This was Job’s regular custom.
“Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied.
At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship and said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.”
In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing.
v1-5: The main character, Job, a truly good man, is introduced in the 'Once upon a time' style which tells us this is a story.
v6-12: off-stage, os to speak to let the reader know something none of the characters in the story are aware of, in the court of heaven, Satan accuses Job of serving God for what he can get out of it. God allows Satan to test this out - a measure of his confidence in Job - but Job himself is to be spared.
V13-22: IN the space of a single day Job loses everything - possessions, servants, family - but his confidence in God remains unshaken.
Why?
Job is a truly a blameless and upright man, But even those, Satan, means disaster and suffering may come upon him. So as to every Christian and human being.
Suffering and difficulty is a process of grace from the Lord, it is testing our heart and our faith to the Lord.
All I have is the grace of the Lord, Yes all of us are naked came from our mother's womb, and naked will depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.
We can not judge others when he is poor or suffering. We don't what the reason and we don't have to ask the reason, this is the nature rule in the world.
Most disasters are caused by Satan or by our sins.

Future generations will be told about the Lord
Psalm 22:1-31
But I am a worm and not a man, scorned by everyone, despised by the people. All who see me mock me; they hurl insults, shaking their heads. Do not be far from me, for trouble is near and there is no one to help.
But you, Lord, do not be far from me. You are my strength; come quickly to help me. Deliver me from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dogs
I will declare your name to my people; in the assembly I will praise you.
All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him,
Posterity will serve him; future generations will be told about the Lord.
Kidner calls this "The psalm o the cross", because Jesus used the opening words to cry his anguish on the cross.
The experience goes far beyond David's own, describing not an illness but what would appear to be 'an execution'. The terms in which the suffer's agony of mind and body are described became an extraordinarily precise description of Jesus' last hours. That feeling of desertion by God becomes a terrible reality for Jesus, enduring the crushing, suffocating weight of human sin which tears him apart, seeming to sever the essential unity of Father and Son.
In the psalm, despair at GOd's silence and the psalmist's own situation alternates with hope - hope that springs out of every recollection of God's past dealings with him THe final prayer beings new inward assurance, expressed in open praise.
If at the deepest level, the early verses of Psalm 22 speak of Christ's suffering, surely the closing verses speak of the worldwide deliverance he made possible.
Why?
When we are suffering or in difficulty, we feel like a worm and not a man, for we lost the quality of life. So the distress and sadness will full of us and frustrated with everything.
But you, Lord, do not be far from me. This is the change in attitude and perspective.
How can we change our mind and eyes to the Lord, the way is always trust in the Lord and learn it from formal experience, encouraged by other Christians.
Our mission is to let future generations will be told about the Lord.

Through the unfailing love of the Most High he will not be shaken.
Psalm 21:1-13
The king rejoices in your strength, Lord. How great is his joy in the victories you give!
He asked you for life, and you gave it to him— length of days, for ever and ever.
Surely you have granted him unending blessings and made him glad with the joy of your presence. For the king trusts in the Lord; through the unfailing love of the Most High he will not be shaken.
Your hand will lay hold on all your enemies; your right hand will seize your foes. Though they plot evil against you and devise wicked schemes, they cannot succeed.
Be exalted in your strength, Lord; we will sing and praise your might.
The occasion may be a victory or an anniversary. The king counts his blessing, rejoicing in God's goodness. His confidence for the future rests in God's constant love. With God's help, all his enemies will be put down. The last verse is the counterpart to 2-"9. This time the people cheer God to the echo.
Why?
Rejoice in God's strength, for the victory is given by the Lord!
God listened to our prayer and give us much more than we expected.
Through God's unfailing love I will no be shaken.
God's mighty hands lead us to victory and against enemies, though they plot evil against the Lord, they cannot succeed.
Le sing and praise God, our might!

May the Lord grant all your requests.
Psalm 20:1-9
May the Lord grant all your requests.
The Lord gives victory to his anointed. He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary with the victorious power of his right hand.
Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.
They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm.
9 Lord, give victory to the king! Answer us when we call!
Battle will soon be engaged. The people for the choir in the Temple invoke God's blessing.
A single voice (the king, perhaps prefiguring the Messiah) responds in confident trust. ANd the people offer an urgent prayer.
Why?
They are brought to their knees and fall, which are other religions did. But Christian may stand firm and rise up for the Lord is living God and protect us.
Some trust in chariots and horses, trust in the power of people or relationships of man, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.
Victory belongs to the Lord, it is the Lord let us victory.

May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight
Psalm 19:1-14
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge.
The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.
The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes. The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the Lord are firm, and all of them are righteous.
But who can discern their own errors? Forgive my hidden faults.
Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then I will be blameless, innocent of great transgression.
May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight.
v1-4: God's universe describes his glory in speech without words.
V4-11: The psalmist's thought leaps straight from the sun, with its all-pervading, searching rays, to the law of God - pure and clean, bringing joy and wisdom, instruction and enlightenment to our hearts;
V12-14: And to his own need of protection and cleansing from sin.
Praise of the law which reveals God's will.
Why?
God's glory and wisdom are showing in the heaven and on the world.
God's word is perfect and worthy to everyone.
No one is righteous and right in the world, so ask the Lord to forgive my hidden faults. Keep me from willful sins.
Not only my mouth but also my heart would be pleasing in God's sight.
