The Lord reigns forever; he has established his throne for judgment

Psalm 9:1-20
I will be glad and rejoice in youI will sing the praises of your name, O Most High.
The Lord reigns forever; he has established his throne for judgmentHe rules the world in righteousness and judges the peoples with equity. The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.
The nations have fallen into the pit they have dug; their feet are caught in the net they have hidden. The Lord is known by his acts of justicethe wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands. The wicked go down to the realm of the dead, all the nations that forget GodBut God will never forget the needythe hope of the afflicted will never perish.
This is one of a number of 'acrostic' psalms, in which the first letter of each verse follows the order of the 22-letter Hebrew alphabet. Only the first eleven letters are used here, and the acrostic seems to continue in Psalm 10.
V3-8 gives the reason for the outburst of praise. God has executed justice and upheld the right. He is an unassailable fortress(9-10). Praise him (11)! Trouble is by no means over (13), but past experience gives gound for fresh hope(15-20). "Thy kingdom come!"
Why?
God is righteousness, God judges the world in his judgment.
The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed. God is our salvation and fortress, stronghold.
Because of the Lord, so we do not fear the trouble and terror. But follow the way of the Lord.

How?
Praise the Holy Name of the Lord and rejoice in Him.
