O Sovereign Lord, you are God! Your words are trustworthy

2 Samuel 7:18-29
There is no one like you, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears.
The Lord Almighty is God over Israel!
O Sovereign Lord, you are God! Your words are trustworthy, and you have promised these good things to your servant. Now be pleased to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue forever in your sight.
Why?
On this promise rests a hope which runs right through the remainder of the Old Testament the hope of a Messiah.
And when Christ came, the promise was fulfilled. He was born in David's birthplace, Bethlehem, and of the house and lineage of David.
The angle tells Mary: "The Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David and he will reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there will be no end."
How?
O Sovereign Lord, you are God! Your words are trustworthy. Trust and have faith to Thee, obey words of the Sovereign Lord!
