Proverbs 27:1-27
Anger is cruel and fury overwhelming, but who can stand before jealousy?
Better is open rebuke than hidden love.
Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart, and the pleasantness of a friend springs from their heartfelt(衷心) advice.
The one who guards a fig tree will ear its fruit, and whoever protects their master will be honored.
As water reflects the face, so one's life reflects the heart.
Death and destruction are never satisfied, and neither are human eyes.
The crucible for silver and the furnace for gold, but people are tested by their praise.
Be sure you know the condition of your flocks, give careful attention to your herds; for riches do not endure forever, and a crown is not secure for all generations.
There is more grouping here than in 10:1-22:16, and the proverbs rely more on comparison than contrast for effect('lie apples of god.. is a word spoken in season') The proverbs draw their pictures from nature and everyday life.
Why?
No one can face those who are anger, fury and jealousy.
No one know the hidden love. so let people know if you like someone.
Good advice make people joy if they accept it.
Serve the master will be honored from my master. It is always truth.
Good friend may reflects the heart each other.
People like to watch is never satisfied, so people are desire to watch new things beautiful scenes.
Be careful to be praised, for these will be the judge from others if we missed it.
Take care my business for it is my living needed, my flock, my herds.
Do not envy the riches, or pursue them, rich never endure forever, God will give what we need.
How?
Be sure you know the condition of your flocks and protects their master will be honored. Do what I should do before the Lord.
