Proverbs 28:1-28
When a country is rebellious, it has many rulers, but a ruler with discernment and knowledge maintains order.
A ruler who oppresses the poor is like a driving rain that leaves no crops.
Better the poor whose walk is blameless than the rich whose way are perverse. Evildoers do not understand what is right, but those who seek the Lord understand fully.
The rich are wise in their own eyes; one who is poor and discerning sees how deluded(迷惑) they are.
Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.
The greedy stir up conflict, but those who trust in the Lord will prosper.
Whoever rebukes a person will in the end gain favor rather than one who has a flattering tongue.
Blessed is the one who always trembles before God, but whoever hardens their heart falls into trouble.
Why?
A ruler with discernment and knowledge maintains order, same as be a manager or CEO.
Do not oppresses the poor but help them with mercy.
Rich are wise in their own eyes, but sometimes they are deluded themselves, only one who discerning see how.
Confesses sins may find mercy from the Lord and people.
Always trembles before God: Always do the right things, for the Lord is watching us from heaven. He knows what we are doing and what we are thinking.
How?
Be a blessed man always trembles before God. Those who trust in the Lord will prosper.
